Great pictures and easy to set up and use.
This camera takes very good pictures and is simple to set up and connect. The camera settings within the Moultrie app are effortless also. It would be nice if Moultrie added the large capacity rechargeable lithium ion as a package price. The battery was 99.99 but worth not having to go into my spots no more than I have too. I will be buying more of these cameras.

Terrible Battery Life and Moultrie Support is Useless
I really wanted to like this camera. The picture quality is nice and the motion sensor functions quite well. However this thing eats batteries, and the Moultrie app does not function properly to alert you to dropping battery levels. Then one day, you don't get check-in photos and its on you to figure out that your battery went from 100% to 0% in a day. I haven't gotten more than a month with 1-4 pictures a day without this thing tanking, and I have two. When I engaged Moultrie support, it took 4 times to get them to agree to refund my cellular plan, but that would leave me with two $180 cameras. No bueno.

Reliable camera, great app
This is my first entry into the cell cam world. I was a little worried about signal strength where I live and I was a little hesitant about the lack of an SD card (I still wish it had a removable SD card option), but to date the camera has run flawlessly. It looks like battery life will be 4+ months with regular Rayovac batteries (have only owned for about 2 months, so we'll see but that's where we're trending). Photo quality is pretty darn good. A little night blur with movement which I see with most cameras and is to be expected. IR array is really good at night without whitewashing animals that are close to the camera. Dawn & dusk photos are grey-scale, but overall good quality. The Moultrie Mobile app has proven to be outstanding. The ability to change camera settings, check battery, download hi res photos, etc. is really excellent. Overall I've been very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend to others.

Huge Missed Opportunity
I bought this camera and took a zillion pictures with it, and discussed issues at length with the Moultrie staff, who were very helpful. With the remote access and control, which work fine, this could have been the best Trail Cam on the market. But Moultrie elected to make the camera functions a lot less capable than on their oldest cameras, which I own and like a lot, so we have a very high tech but not very functional product. It's a shame. Some particulars - the camera does not always DO what you set it to do in numbers of pictures, intervals, and types; the sensitivity at the lowest is far too high so it takes far too many pictures; the available parameters to set for picture taking are strange and not what I need at all; the flash is uneven across the field and from picture to picture; and so on.Maybe it's a work in progress and will get better with time. I hope so.

It was 2 stars when it actually worked as designed, but I lowered it....
It stopped working after day 3 and couldn't figure out how to get them going again. Even when they worked, all the useful features of a camera were blocked. There is no live view. It will text you images when motion is detected but it was several minutes after the motion. The quality of the images were far below the $25 PTZ cameras I have up at the same property. On day 1 the camera worked for several hours, but then went down for 18 hours with the only message indicating the brand new batteries were dead....then it inexplicably starting working on the same batteries, and every time I checked it listed a different battery percentage remaining (up and down). It was easy to initially setup the camera with a cell connection, and that's nice. Ultimately, this camera went in the garbage because the warranty process was costing me more in my time-wasted than the camera was worth. The product warranty department at Moultrie has created multiple hurdles to make it not worth your time to exercise the warranty. Despite the INNACURATE Amazon listing above indicating that any batteries are fine, the warranty is only going to be honored if you're using Energizer-branded lithium batteries. They literally force you to make a video of using Energizer-brand lithium batteries or they won't even discuss a warranty claim on their sub par product. I bought 4 cameras initially and 3 work as designed (again, disappointing design, but not a product failure for 75% of them) and 1 (25% of the cameras purchased) never worked right. FWIW I couldn't get the defective 1 camera working like the other 3 cameras either with Energizer lithium batteries or regular alkaline batteries, while all 3 of the others worked fine with both alkaline and Energizer lithium. I did receive a replacement battery tray from Moultrie but that wasn't where the failure was located. I asked for a refund on the annual cellular contract and was initially declined that as well, but they eventually agreed to refund the unused portion of the contract. I had 4 phone interactions and they were nice, but generally useless and it costs me far more than the $140 I spent on the camera in time-wasted.
