Very good, easy to assemble and does not take up much space
This tripod microphone stand is an excellent choice for singing and recording at home. It comes with an adjustable boom arm, carrying bag, and two microphone clips, making it very convenient. It is easy to set up and take down, and thanks to its sturdy design, the microphone is held securely without moving. The quality of the stand is remarkable and it feels very solid. In short, it is a product that I recommend for its functionality and quality.

Gives me options
I'm overall surprised by the quality. The base is very sturdy, and the upright pole is heavy duty. The top boom arm assembly doesn't feel quite as robust, but it's not bad either. I wanted this, because sometimes there's times when I want to use a microphone where a desk boom arm doesn't work. This solves that problem, and there's a lot of adjustment up and down, and the boom arm moves in and out. There's also another section that can extend out even farther. There's cable clips for cable routing, 2 microphone holders, and a lightweight carry bag. This is exactly what I was looking for, and look forward to using it more. I do recommend this mic stand.

Portable stand. Flexible deployment, but with a couple of peculiarities.
I have a portable floor stand with a metal base plate and an optional gooseneck, and I wanted to compare it with this one, with a tripod base and an optional boom arm. One advantage is that a tripod can handle uneven floors.STRONG POINTS- Breaks down to fit in a sturdy 19" case. Weighs 5 lbs, 1 lb less than the flat base stand.- Optional boom arm, a feature that I prefer to a gooseneck.- Two sizes of mic holders. (Also provided with the flat base stand.)- Firm boom arm pivot lock - better than on some other low end boom arms.- Large knurled vertical adjustment nut.PECULIARITIES* Leg lock screw is inadequate * First off, it works via pressure, which requires a lot more turning force than a compression design, and which causes wear. Secondly, the recessed knob is hard to tighten. Minus at least 1-star for this problem, because I'll need to replace it with a longer screw. (M6 - 15 mm is supplied. 25 mm may be long enough.) A compression design would also have eliminated this issue.- All three pole sections must be used together. Therefore the minimum height of the pole is 46".- Wobbles when the upper section is fully extended, so the effective maximum pole height is 54".- Boom slide is minimal - only 5".- I'd rate this product "medium duty".

Sturdy, customizable mic stand
First of all, I love how compact this stand is! I can confirm that everything can easily and completely fit into the provided case. My one complaint is that the case smells quite bad...but I'm hoping that smell will dissipate as time goes by.When I first put it together, the boom arm seemed rather short. However, that was before I noticed the adjustment knob to make it longer...it's great now!The stand is sturdy, completely made of metal, and I'm confident it can hold even heavy mics without falling over. This is going to be my go-to travel boom stand!

You can't go wrong for under $35
This Heavy Duty Tripod Microphone Stand is really nice! It's very easy to assemble and dissemble. It's made of metal, so it's pretty sturdy. It comes with a boom arm that extends and rotates. You can also just remove the arm and put a mic clip on for a straight traditional microphone stand. I also like that this comes with it's own lightweight bag to store it in. I am very happy with this! You can't go wrong for under $35!
