Bargain multi-tool
The media could not be loaded. What a bargain, although not professional standard, as expected at its price point. Loads of features for the average DIYer. Multimeter, thermal tester, continuity tester, NCV feature and the very handy clamp meter, although not reliable readings for the pro uses to be fair.It really is a great little tool to have about the house.Recommended

Not a precision tool
This is a DIY tool and not suitable for professional use and that is reflected in the price point. It is reasonably accurate when using it with the probes but when using the clamp the readings are inconsistent. I measured the power to my meter where the cables are separated from each other and the readings could be up to 30% out. Oddly you need to look at the difference between the reading and then the reading when there is no current rather than having a zero button. I did like the capability of detecting power without having to clamp or connect the unit.

easy to use
I recently got the Clamp Meter, it covers most of my needs, whether I’m working on household circuits or checking electrical appliances. The 6000 counts ensure precise readings, and the auto-ranging feature saves me time since I don’t have to manually set the range for every measurement. It’s easy to use, with clear instructions, and the digital display is bright and easy to read. The compact design makes it portable, and the build quality feels durable. However, it’s worth noting that this clamp meter is mainly designed for AC current.Overall, I’m quite happy with how this multimeter performs.

Simple to use with great features
I tested it with NCV function and it works well. It's easy to use for quick checks, and you don't have to touch any wires. The K-Type thermocouple was great for checking temperatures in my projects. I like how simple it is to use. It's perfect for beginners, but it has enough features for more experienced people too.

Good Enough
It seems that some (me) can never have too many meters. Once, I tried to standardize but that supplier decided to move on. So, I am back to a hodge-podge of multimeters which run from analog to digital. This one arrived in 18 days, a month earlier than originally estimated. Yes, a month earlier. It was in good condition. It requires two AAA batteries which were included. The included test leads are decent and are 36" long. The display is large enough to be readable and has a selectable backlight. The meter worked fairly well during my tests while comparing it to a trusted meter. It produced readings which were within 0.001 volts while checking an AA battery and was within a volt while checking line voltages.I do not like the beeping when the selector switch is moved between settings. Also, the meter does not recall the previous selection when it is power cycled. For instance, in the voltage position, it always powers on with "DC" selected even if the last setting before powering off was "AC."The NCV (Non-Contact Voltage) sensor function worked well when I used it is several different locations. The included temperature probe is a nice thought. But the sensor on the one I received appears to be unprotected and subject to damage and/or contamination. The included case is more than adequate and offers excellent protection for the meter and its accessories.

Decent build but lacks accuracy in key areas (3.5 Stars)
Pros:- Decent build quality- Uses 2 AAA batteries- The clamp lever is smooth and well-built- Manual function selection- Responsive conductivity beeping with good probes- Accurate DC voltage readings- Consistent AC line voltage readings- Fairly accurate resistance measurements- Sensitive NCV detector- Accurate frequency counterCons:- Mediocre stock probes- No manual ranging support- No additional probe jack for AC/DC current measurement- Slightly inaccurate T-RMS current measurements using the clamp- Beeping during low-value resistance measurements- Poor capacitance meter accuracyThe Proster Digital True RMS Clamp Meter 6000 count (TZ202) has a decent build quality and some weight to it, likely due to the iron core transformer. I like that all of the functions are manually selected. There is no provision for auto-function selection which is usually unreliable. This is good. The meter, however, is auto-ranging and manual ranging is not supported. There are sub-functions that need to be manually selected. For example, for voltage measurement, you have to press "SEL" to select between AC and DC voltages. It is also worth noting that this clamp meter does not have an additional probe jack to measure AC or DC currents by the probes. The lack of this feature is quite common in clamp meters.Unfortunately, the probes that come with the meter are mediocre at best. It marginally failed my "Morse Code" test using the conductivity beeping function. However, the conductivity beeping function is quite responsive when using a pair of good probes. I have replaced the stock probes with a pair of better probes to perform all the following tests. The AC clamp meter is undoubtedly the focus of the instrument, even though it functions reasonably well as a multimeter with the probes. I compared my own recent True RMS digital clamp meter with the TZ202. My existing clamp meter was known to be fairly accurate because its reading also agreed almost exactly with a third old clamp meter I have. So my own clamp meter is a good reference. The main feature of the TZ202 clamp meter is its ability to measure T-RMS current (True Root Mean Square current). Simply put, T-RMS current is directly proportional to the wattage consumed by the load, regardless of whether the power source is a sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal waveform. Therefore by measuring the T-RMS current, one can calculate the true wattage of the load. For instance, my electric heater was measured to have a T-RMS current of 5.9A, which means the heater has a wattage of 120V*5.9=708W.While the actual measurement of the T-RMS current is more complex than the measurement of the instantaneous current, you can think of it as an integral of the square of the instantaneous current averaged over time.I measured the current of several electric appliances at home using both clamp meters. The results are as follows:Appliance, TZ202, my other reference Clamp Meter- Electric Kettle, 11.63A, 11.79A- Laptop Charger, 0.68A, 0.67A jumping around- Electric Heater, 5.92A, 5.74AWhile the two meter readings are close, they don’t agree exactly. I tend to believe in my old clamp meter more because of the reason stated above. After all the above clamp meter current tests, I have reservations about the accuracy of the clamp meter TZ202 under review. For resistive loads like an electric kettle or an electric heater, the reading should really agree very well almost to the last digit. This did not happen unfortunately and I am disappointed. As a measurement note, when measuring the current of any AC appliance with a standard 3-prong plug using a clamp meter, you need to do so with an AC line splitter. Simply clamping on an AC cord of the appliance will not work. Now that the core part is over, let’s quickly review the other features of the TZ202.The DC voltage readings of my 1.5V and 3.3V batteries are consistent with the digital multimeters I have. The AC line voltage measured was also consistent. I am satisfied.Resistance tests were performed on my resistor test set of 8.2, 24, 200 ohms, 3.9, 24.1, 100, 680 kohms, and 1.5 mega ohms. The measurements were all fairly accurate. However, the meter was beeping when I was measuring low-value resistors 8.2 and 24 ohms. I don’t like this behaviour.Capacitance tests were performed on my capacitor test set of 10, 15, 22, 50, 82, 470p, 1, 8.2, 47, and 100nF. Unfortunately, the accuracy of the capacitance meter is not very good across a wide range. A 47nF capacitor was measured to be 58nF; 82pf was measured to be 64pf; 50pf was measured to be 34pf. This kind of capacitance meter accuracy is one of the weakest multimeters I have tested. The NCV works fairly well using the tip of the clamp as the NCV sensor. I can get an alert right outside an electrical receptacle and the LCD shows the letter "H" indicating high voltage. The NCV detector is quite sensitive and responds to a 5V or a low-voltage laptop charging cable as well, with a lower frequency beeping and the LCD shows the letter "L" indicating lower voltage. The frequency counter performed fairly decently with my phone as the audio signal generator. It measured the frequency accurately from 60Hz-19KHz. I am delighted. In conclusion, the Proster TZ202 Digital Clamp Meter has been tested to be accurate and reliable in measuring voltages, resistance and frequency but it lacks the accuracy in measuring true RMS current via the clamp transformer as well as measuring capacitance. It is a little disappointing to me.

Dies beeinflusst jedoch in keiner Weise meine Bewertung.Meine Einschätzung basiert auf meiner persönlichen Nutzung und Erfahrung als langjähriger Elektroinstallateur, und spiegelt nur meine Meinung wider.
