Bought this to make my own Dashi broth. Love the taste, but the size of the product is very small. Will buy a larger size the next time.

So happy I tried this on a whim. To get the true taste of miso soup fast and easy in the morning this helps to cut down on time but adds so much flavor. Will order again once I am through the bottle.

When a recipe calls for Dashi, don't just take a pass. This delightful and affordable treat should be a kitchen staple and adds a delightful dash(i) of salt and umami to any dish, even if it's not called for. And remember, it already has some salt and MSG so no additional salt may be required. Also, MSG can be considered a more healthy "salt" substitute according to some recent research I've seen. So, enjoy dashi, and not just for making soup - I used it in a Gyudon Japanese sliced beef and rice bowl dish with soy, sake & mirin.

I got this for a few different Japanese recipes I made last week and very happy with the taste and quality of this brand. I was a little disappointed at how small the bottle was when I received it but that is my own fault for not paying attention to the size listed when ordering it.
