I love it!
I still can't believe the ease of installation and the resulting effectiveness of this item. Immediately and still today our problems with birds trying to nest under our porch have disappeared. In complete awe, I took pictures have shared them with all my friends. If anyone out there has a bird/bat problem, this is the answer!

Really works!
It works! The birds are gone and haven't been back. They've tried to nest but can't. You can barely see product so it's not an eye sore. No more birds swooping down at our entry and droppings all over our front entry.

Didn't keep the swallows away
I bought 8 of these to line the eaves of one side of my house, where a flock of swallows were attempting to build their mud nests.These are essentially pieces of plexi that have an adhesive strip, with about 8 pieces of fishing line coming down from holes in the plexi. After installing them, the swallows just flew underneath the fishing line hanging down, and continued building their nests.It may have been that I installed them too far from side of my house where they were building their nests. I couldn't access the roofline via a ladder, so I had to climb up the roof and reach down to press them up against the overhang, leaving about a 2 foot gap between the fishing line and the side of the house. Maybe if I installed them with only a 6 inch gap they would have worked? Don't know... If I get a chance I'll post a video.Now that I know that these are just plexi strips with fishing line hanging down from them, I would probably just make these myself... But it is convenient having the adhesive strips preinstalled.

Really works!
Moved in to our new home with two bird nests in the eaves of our back porch. Once the fledglings left the nest we knocked them down and put these up after scrubbing the area down with bleach water. The birds came back a few times but hated these things so much they never renested or even came back to scope the area. Totally worth it!

Effective, but overpriced for what you get.
I'm giving this 5 stars for effectiveness and ease of use and 1 star for value, for an average rating of 3 stars. I have a brick arch entry area in front of my front door that the barn swallows have decided would make an ideal nesting site. They definitely won't fly through these strips, but as one reviewer discovered, if there are any gaps they will go right through the gap to make their nest. The strips are short enough that we left a gap between the two strips hoping that the birds wouldn't find the gap. The swallows didn't find the gap at first, but are persistent enough that by the end of the day they had discovered both the gap and the ends of the strips and were once again landing on the brick arch. The area must be completely blocked, or the strips won't work. At 11 inches per strip, I would need at least 3 more strips to get enough coverage for the one arch.
