Very pretty and they’re plug-in.

I got these because these look like the clips I use for hanging C9 string lights during the winter holiday because it says they're bigger than other branded ones, but I should've known better and taken the time to do my homework. These are too small for what I wanted to use for it, so should've exercised more caution with its claims for being "bigger" and as good.I can find use for these clips nonetheless. I did test out sticking it on our mantel and without even pressing it down, I could tell it grabbed on and when I tried wiggling it, it didn't move and let me reiterate, that's without me pressing it down onto the surface and was lightly placed on. Part of me does want to test removing it to see if truly won't mess up the painted mantel, but I'm leaving it up for now since I'll be decorating for Halloween and plan to drape lightweight netting/fabric on this newly attached hook.Initially I was going to give this product 3 stars, because I did a side by side comparison of the size with a leading brand product (pic attached) and it's not all that impressively bigger. Sure it's slightly wider and taller for the base, but I really need a hook that is more substantial and I do notice this product does deliver in that category in that it's more robust by being wider. I can hardly string icicle lights with the leading brand in this size, so this will be a nice welcome change, so upgraded to 4 stars. I did take a point off because there are no instructions. It's nice to have a reminder of the dos and dont's, but then when I looked through the instructions on their ad, it's pretty self explanatory and nothing more or less than the obvious. With the other leading brand, sometimes you have to orient the tape a certain direction of which side touches the wall vs the clip and this doesn't have that, so it's simpler.

I ordered these to replace old, clear, command strip hooks. Their strips had gotten old and crusty. I like that these are slightly larger and much sturdier than the original ones. They seem to be holding well (used for string lights and glass ornaments) and seemed securely fastened right after sticking them on (without waiting for them to cure). The strips seem to be made of the same kind of foam sticker as command strips, but there's no extra non-sticky tab to use to pull the sticker off without leaving a mark/residue. I think if you can lift a bit of the edge of the strip, you can then remove it cleanly by pulling in a parallel direction as the strip (like command strips). The only thing to note is that while the hooks are clear, the strips are white. So if you are planning to use these on a surface that's not white, you'll see the strip (unlike the command hooks which use clear strips). Good purchase - so many clips!

The hook design is perfect for Christmas light cords as it doesn't SQUEEZE the cord, but encompasses it. That makes the hook have less stress on it too. Adhesive SEEMS like it will hold, but we'll see after a few weeks.HOWEVER, the white adhesive is a bit confusing. What is the point of the clear hook if you are going to see the white adhesive? I do think these should be made in black or white as well so that the adhesive would be hidden and it could mesh into what you are mounting to.BUT, something you can do is also buy command hook replacement backs for the same hook that is flat. I use these inside on plain painted walls for hanging up lightweight strings of light (mainly holiday related), and they've done great so far. Been up for a few weeks and haven't had one fall down. At almost half the cost of similar name brand command strips these work great. The only downside is the adhesive backing is white, and while this may make it sturdier, it makes the clips more visible which I'm sure could be a dealbreaker if you're looking for a super clean look.

I love these little clips. I got them to replace the old bulky ones we had around the house. But they stick out like sore thumbs on any of my colored walls. Since this was my only real complaint I got clear alien tape and use it in place of the provided adhesive and now the problem is solved. I decreased rating to accommodate the fact that I made an additional purchase.

You have to put these tiny things together. Very time consuming. There’s other brands already assembled. These break VERY easily.

They stick to the wall but not plastic. They keep falling off.
