After having problems with my cars wiring I was forever using my old multimeter which was very basic and pretty cheap. This is a good upgrade it had loads more features (including backlight), it comes with probes and alligator clips which was a good addition. Using in my car for voltage and continuity tests it helped find the source of one my problems. Overall for a home user this is going to be more than enough, although I did notice they sell even more advanced models if you required more features.

Got this to use domestically. Well made and reasonably priced. This simplifies the process of selecting the appropriate range, making it easy to use for both beginners and experienced users. The display is clear and easy to read. Auto ranging for ease of use and wide range of functions for comprehensive measurements.Ideal for both professionals and domestic users.

A great quality multimeter with one of the best features I've ever seen.It lights up the appropriate connectors for connecting the leads as you change modes.Great for use in schools or with younger users.Gimmick aside, it's actually a really good multimeter with lots of features and pretty good accuracy and a quality build.Worked well in my dark shed trying to test various parts of my solar setup and looks like it can easily take a knock of two.A great tool.

This multimeter is great and works exceptionally well. It comes with everything you need: batteries, a spare fuse, a screwdriver to open the back, a temperature sensor, and clamps. It covers all the standard features you’d expect—voltage, current, resistance, and amperage—plus temperature readings and a non-contact voltage test.One standout feature I haven’t seen before is the illuminated socket indicators, which show you exactly where to plug in the test leads. This is super useful and helps prevent mistakes.The multimeter also includes a detailed instruction manual in multiple languages (English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian), making it a great tool for any DIY enthusiast to keep at home!

Well supplied with cables, plugs and batteries (3 AAA)To commence the batteries were fitted using the supplied screwdriver to remove the single screw housing the battery compartment. In the compartment are two fuses and two spare fuses.When switching on there is a nice bright and clear display. It was also a nice surprise to see that there are leds which flash around the terminals showing the correct two terminals for the function selected. Saves blowing a fuse by choosing the wrong terminals. My first check was to look at the mains voltage so I switched it to the correct choice. The display said it was DC with no voltage shown. I pressed the 'range' switch which changed the display but not to anything useful. I therefore have 240V and nothing shown! I then pressed the 'func' switch and the display showed AC and the correct voltage. Once you are familiar with the meter I'm sure it will be easy to use. It appears to be nicely built and I think it's good value.I'm happy to recommend.

Bought this for my Electrician Step-Dad who says this is a brilliant piece of kit, to replace his ageing and well used one. Does everything he needs it to do to be able to successfully and safely teste electric currents when doing any type of DIY work around my house, he loves it and he's been an electrician for over 30 years.So if he give's it an endorsement it must be of a high quality.

Measures everything I need. Both AC and DC, with continuity as well. Does lots of other things that i haven't really got a use for. I like that the jacks light up to show if the leads are in the right place for what you are checking. I haven't had a meter like this before and its super handy to save blowing a fuse!Speaking of fuses, this meter has fuses for protection. That you can replace if you were to make a mistake, saves you buying a new meter for what is normally a silly mistake!Simple to use with the dial and then the function button to change through different modes like AC/DC on that option.Love the backlit screen and a light for use in tighter darker spots.Only comes with basic leads and crocodile clip accessories, but for the price of £28 (£6 voucher when i got it) this is amazing value, I bought a set of leads/accessories that cost more than this whole meter!

The Proster Multimeter is a 9999 count auto ranging meter that supports: Voltage, Current (RMS AC & DC), resistance, continuity, diode testing, capacitance, NCV and temperature measurements. This product is very complete including: 3-AAA batterys, quality test leads, alligator clips for the test leads, type K temperature probe, and a decent fabric case. The large display is easy to read, and the backlight is bright when needed. The backlight is controlled by light sensor and that feature seems to work quite well. The included manual describes all of the features and is well written. ( see pixs)This meter has decent specifications, and all of the ranges were verified using calibrated instruments or high accuracy components while testing the capacitance and resistance ranges. The detailed specifications and ranges are fully described in the manual.Overall quality and workmanship are quite good, range switching and function switches have a decent tactile feel, the number of ranges and accuracy for this multimeter are very good for the price point.

This is a good quality multi-meter that offers a lot of high end features and functions at an entry level price. I’m not going to list all the features but just know about anything you might need a meter for this one is probably capable. I do like the backlit screen and the auto ranging and auto shutoff. Meter is easy to use and comes with a soft case. This meter is an excellent value at this price!

We use this Proster Multimeter 9999 Count daily in our A/V business. It's a very nice unit that offers far more capabilities than I'll ever need. For those who only need to check voltage and continuity, I'd recommend finding a simpler unit. However, if you're looking for a comprehensive tool that can do almost everything except an amp clamp, this is the perfect choice. It comes with a nice case, is well-protected with fuses, and includes useful accessories.

Got this to replace my little generic multi tester. In testing continuity in a laptop, the readings would show good, but the numerical amount would be a little off. This one reads as it should and and can do so much more than that simple one.Nice, big illuminated display and it has alligator clips. Wish it had better instructions, however the correct jacks are illuminated depending on what you are doing, and that really helps.Good item at a great price!

This is a really nice feature rich multimeter. In addition to the standard voltage, amperage and resistance functions, it can handle capacitance, inductance, frequency, non-contact voltage and temperature. It also has an auto adjust illuminated display and a built in LED light. The display is large, crisp and easy to read. The meter is a bit bulky compared to some other smaller options, but has a nice rubber armored case with built-in probe clips and a fold-out stand. The instructions provided are sparse and disappointing in describing the many features.....leaving the user to figure things out. That said, for its price point, this meter represents a great value.
