I had heard great things about the Abmat but am usually the last one to believe the hype. I work out often and can do countless situps so I really didn't think this would do anything for me. I was wrong. The Abmat fits perfectly in the small of your back to get complete abdominal extension and lower back support. Sure, you could get the same effects from several other products...but they cost WAY more. The Abmat is awesome and I use it every day. Constructed well and had grip strips on the bottom so it will not slide while you exercise. It also comes with a workout plan for beginners.

I bought one of these a few years ago when I was doing CROSSFIT. My neighbor gave it a try the other day, and fell in love with it and asked me to order her one ASAP. She has lower back pain, and says that not only does this do great sit ups, it helps to stretch her back. She also liked the booklet that came with it, showing her additional exercises. I've loved it for years -- its on the floor in my living room, easy to crank out a few sit ups every now and then.

This is the best AbMat on the market. I previously bought another make/model based on customer reviews, and assumed that they would be equivalent. Definitely not so. There is a major difference in firmness between this mat and the other one, with this one clearly superior. It is tall and supportive, but gives just enough so you're not see-sawing across the top of it. Quality materials and construction. This is found at my local CrossFit gym, so I have seen first hand that it can stand up to frequent use. I would highly recommend this over alternatives.
