[(Classical Mechanics)] [ By (author) John R. Taylor ] [September, 2004] : desertcart.in: Books Review: The most enjoyable book on Classical Mechanics you shall ever come across - An excellent book for Classical Mech. by all standards. The theory provided in the material is very readable and simple to understand. The few solved examples provide great insight into applying the concepts developed in each chapter. Exercises contain an array of problems, ranging in difficulty as specified by the author using *, ** and *** for easy, moderate and difficult problems respectively. There are problems where the student needs to take the help of a CAS, so it hones the computational skills of a student too. All in all, a must buy for a physics undergraduate. Review: A first course in serious physics - A must read for the newcomers. It can be read right after class 12th. Great for self learning. Make sure you solve most problems. It can be used as a stepping stone for more advanced books such as Goldstein. Never the less Taylor is a complete course in itself.

FAKE PHOTOCOPY BOOK
Received a fake photocopy book in hardcover. Its a photocopy of pdf available online even the seal on first page is intact on this copy. Could have compromised but last 5 chapters are missing.

I am a physics student graduating in a few semesters, and I took some mechanics classes, but I wasn't confident enough to state that I understood mechanics well until I found this book. This book is written for students who took at least a semester or two of basic physics classes. You need to have some back ground, but it will refresh your memory and go on ahead from basics to Lagrange and Hamiltonian mechanics to Chaos, and even special relativity.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It explains in a clear style and concise way the intrincacies of physics. Enjoy!

Take this book up if you are brand new to the subject. It is written more in a discussion style which is perfect for the not knowing one. Read it from cover to cover and do as many exercises as you can because every single one of them has been made to test if you've got the material covered until then. (For solutions use Chegg.com as sadly there is no official solutions manual) Next take up Classical Mechanics by Morin which is slightly slicker and harder, but after Taylor it makes much more sense and you will be able to run through it. Again, do the exercises and this time all of them as the detailed solutions are already included in the textbook. Finally, Master the subject with the All Time Classic : Classical Mechanics by Lifschitz and Landau. Congratulations, you are now a master in the subject!
