Before buying this band saw, I had a cheapo harbor freight band saw (Pittsburgh I think, not the fancy Bauer/Hercules) which I had set up in a table saw config. When HF came out with the chop saw attachment for the portable bandsaw, it looked like an attractive upgrade but I realized that my band saw model would not fit. I strongly considered upgrading everything to the latest HF offerings, or going with something more economical by Vevor, but then I came across this Max XT on YouTube. I was very hesitant at first as this has very little coverage but I ended up picking it up at a discount on Prime day, with all the bells and whistles. This thing is the greatest tool on my bench right now. It will cut dime-sized slices of 3/4" solid metal rod, with a beautiful surface finish and very uniform thickness. I love the fact that I can leave the saw unattended to cut by itself and it has auto shut off. I also love the table saw attachment. Really happy overall to have this in my garage instead of the HF contraption, which with a saw ends up costing close to what this entire setup cost.

I almost never give 5 stars. That doesn't mean this isn't a great tool. I have only used it for a few days, but so far it's met my expectations for how a bandsaw of this type should work. I had a problem with the saw in that it was received missing the vertical cutting plate. This made it unusable as a table saw in the verticle position. I contacted the seller and after some back-n-forth with verifying my order, they shipped out the missing part and I received it within a week. That's great CS. It's a bit on the pricey side, but with the 3 included saw blades of various TPI it makes cutting different material easier to swallow. The manual and auto-shutoff mode which make it portable and real drop-bandsaw are plus too. Changing/installing the blade is pretty easy with the tension lever. Setup is easy too. My first use was cutting Z-flashing for our standing seem roof. 24AWG steel which I could cut 10 pieces at a time. Saved a lot of hand cutting and better results.

I should have bought this years ago. A friend recommended this item and I love it. Very portable and easy to set up and use. I cut a bunch of 1.25" OD steel pipe and flat bar for a stool I built and it worked great. IMO its biggest weakness is working with small parts for angle cuts. I tried various makeshift approaches, and ended up using two mag switches. The issue is the distance from the "clamp" to the cut. Small pieces (I was working with 6 inch bits) can't be clamped. I added a water spritzer (air siphon) to avoid any heat build up.

Versatile, easy to use, Auto cutting and shut off is nice.

Once I got the blade installed it worked great. Compact but powerful enough to cut.

I like it, but for some reason, mine didn't come with the plate attachment for the table saw feature. The LED light is somewhat useful, but since it sits off at an angle, the blade casts a shadow that throws off your ability to fully see where it is cutting.

Wow! This saw is AWESOME!!! In my amateur metal shop (garage), I just completed a cutting job that would have normally taken me 1/2 an hour with my circular table chop saw, in about 4 minutes with the MAXXT band saw. Super easy setup and very clean, even cuts. I would definitely recommend it to anyone starting up their little shop.

This saw is wonderful, it cuts almost anything effortlessly, clean cuts and minimal sawdust/metal or plastic chips. I cut 20 pieces of wood for a project using the saw horizontally and each piece is exactly the same length, the blade doesn't "walk or wander " when I used a jigs for repetitive cuts. Also the auto shut off is perfect. I have just fitted the table to it for vertical work and I am also very pleased.

Bandsaw is good except for the metal blades broke 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Also, the screw is missing on the auto-stop button. I will reach out to factory support to see what they can do.

After using this saw for a year for 1-2 days a week I am very impressed. I don't like giving reviews immediately but this thing works well. Now the blade quality deviates but overall a very handy tool. I almost never use my stationary saw now unless for bigger stuff.
