The Spooky Sound (Disney/Pixar Cars) (Step into Reading)

Looks horrible....bottom cover is scraped....rough edging...some of the pages were most definitely Opened up all the way and folded back. And the cover was bent on the front and back. No markings in the pages....but used just the same.

Okay, I'm the typical mom with the preschooler that is TOTALLY into LIghtning McQueen. It's all McQueen all the time at the house. So, I"ve gotten him a number of the "Step INto Reading" books featuring McQueen. This is currently his favorite. Possibly it's the way mommy reads it (I read with lots of enthusiasm and extra sayings) and possibly it's his age and the idea of being scared and fearful of something. The book reads well and does reference monsters but then will display on the following page that it's not a monster at all but rather a figure cast in shadows (something that plays a lot to the imagination of this age). Personally, I don't think it is too scary for this age and my little boy can't get enough! We've been reading it for a week and no scary nightmares of anything like that.

My almost 4 year old loves this book! My biggest complaint is that the text is difficult to read on several of the dark colored pages. Some dark colored pages have white text, but others have black text that is difficult to read.

I had to pick up this copy because my son loved the binding out of the old one. This is a great book for boys who love cars

Nice Book, Cute Story, Nice Colors..... You really can't go wrong with these books and they make great gifts. I would recommend.

We gave this to our 5 year old Grandson for his birthday. He loved the story and it had just enough words to challenge his beginner reading skills.

My two year old loves this book. Just the right amount of spookiness for a toddler. Clever artwork for shapes and shadows that look like monsters but turn out to be other objects.

bought this for my kid, lots of pictures and colours that keeps him entertained. Not many words which is what you would expect. Good value for money

Good book for early readers who enjoy Disney Cars movies

Spooky little book for early readers. Good gift idea.

Tengo varios libros de la colección, algunos de ellos son simples enumeraciones de personajes. Pero no es este el caso (SPOILERS): hay una historia, con varios posibles monstruos (dragones, luces en el cielo, etc.) que enseguida resultan ser efectos ópticos (sombras de latas, de ruedas apiladas, etc.), mientras Mate y Rayo buscan el origen de un extraño aullido, que resulta ser el ronquido de Sheriff. A mi niño de tres años le ha gustado mucho (evidentemente se lo leo yo, traduciéndolo al castellano). Recomendable.
