I have had this mug a few weeks now and I am impressed. I am a slow drinker, making one cup of coffee last up to four hours. I learned that I like my coffee at 140 degrees and it pours at 160+ degrees. The first day, I kept it on the coaster, lid on, and it kept a full charge and temp with no issue. The second day, I timed how long it kept the temp at 140, lid on, in a 74 degree room while I drank my coffee and it lasted about 3.5 hours.Positives:1) Held the temp well2) Easy to use and understand3) The lid is designed well3a)--Lid has a recessed rim to make removal easy3b)--Lid clasp doubles as a "tent" stand, so it can prop the lid up on the mug after cleaning, allowing air to fully dry the mug and lid4) The cord is long enough5) The mug vibrates when changes are made to the settings6) There is a "hard" on and off feature, you control, on the bottom, a temporary on and off, on the side of the mug (just for the heater element, leaving the temperature sensor on) and an auto off based on activity7) There is a red light, solid when "on" and flashing when "heating"Negatives:1) The buttons on the mug get touched by accident1a) To clarify, this is not a big deal. The mug vibrates, letting me know I need to confirm it's still set how I want it, and once I learn/remember to hold the mug "right," it will be fine. This was mostly a problem when brewing my coffee using as I use an inexpensive/manual French press. This minor adjustment is worth the benefits of the mug in my opinion. When holding the handle, this isn't a problem.2) Not dishwasher safe - I don't think any of these mugs are, but a unicorn would be nice.

I’ve been using the mug for about three or four weeks now and I have found it to be all that it claims to be. It is user-friendly and the temperature is easy to adjust and otherwise manage. The heating unit keeps my drink at the desired temperature. It appears to hold the charge for 2 to 3 hours as claimed. I especially like the real time digital temperature display. The temperature is shown whether the mug is actively heating or not.The “smart” aspect is terrific. With use of the app you can micromanage the temperature as well as employing the presets.I did have a little trouble when I initially bought the mug with the app, but the very responsive customer service was terrific and took care of the problem quickly.I would recommend the purchase of this product. Is all that it claims to be at a significantly more reasonable price compared to some of the others on sale at Amazon.

Was looking for a good self heating mug with plenty of capacity for my morning Americano's and this fit the bill. its quick charging with plenty of digital info on the mug. It has a large 14 oz capacity for reasonable price. The mug is easy to clean by hand. Coupled with a digital app that controls all functions as well as manual controls on the mug itself. This producte delivered much more than what I expected and can reccomend this as a solid buy.

I bought this in October 2024. It worked great for a month or so, then it would randomly stop heating a minute or so after I turn it on and I have to press the heat button again. Sometimes this happens 2, 3x before heating mode (red light) stays on/blinking (red light solid means reached temp, red light blinking means heating). Product was no longer listed when I sought tech support, glad to see it's back, going to reach out to them.Otherwise, it works! It gets very hot, very quickly! Base is very convenient and mug stays on and keeps coffee hot! About 130F is my preference but it WILL go to 160F!Used to be available in colors, I only see black now. Battery run time will depend on your temp preference, but 130F does last a bit more than 2 hours.

Today I am reviewing the self heating mug, called ‘Civexa.’This mug is made for us slow sippers of hot beverages. All of us, who can make a killer cup of Joe, and then at some point, get distracted andare left with a lukewarm or cold drink. Disappointing , since I may have have spent a great deal of time and effort into making a fun espresso latte and it’s pretty wasted taste wise. I would have touse a microwave to heat the latte which can caramelize the sugar and taste horrible.So I keep reading about these types of coffee cups that keep your drinks not just warm but actually at the temperature of freshly brewed coffee or tea. I admit to some skepticism, but the price of the Civexa was in my budget so, I decided to give it a shot.I was so happy with this purchase because Civexa, actually WORKS!!Coffee , tea, Chai,--Civexa will keep your beverage at any level of heat that you set it at and keep it that way for hours. Plus, it has an automatic shut down for safety . It doesn’t have any burnt coffee taste or smell, even after 2 hours( WARNING: DO NOT MICROWAVE OR PUT THESE IN THE DISHWASHER!! )Talking about the design and functionality of this mug. It’s a very simple design, sleek and professional. This would look fabulous on an office desk. Very sophisticated. ( read): Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Anniversary, Birthday. Or in my case, just because I wanted it. The best reason.One detail that I enjoy from a physical perspective is Civexa’s handle:It is long enough for a man’s hand yet easy to hold for petite fingers . The weight is balanced and it does not feel or look cheap. My mother’s hands shake a little, but she felt confident holding Civexa and did not feel like she would spill it. I mentioned the length earlier. The handle gave her enough room to grasp it, without feeling arthritic pain. I am very petite, and I have had trouble lifting some heavy mugs. Civexa feels well balanced and I like the black color. It is smooth, matte and yet it still has a nice subtle sheen to it.The ad above tells you the science stuff.The Civexa has an app which I personally do not use. I just like having and on/off button, a temperature button and any other simple features.Perhaps I might enjoy using this app feature in the future but I’m a very busy mom, and don’t have a lot of time to goof around with it.Even so, I am having a wonderful experience using this mug. It is an excellent product.I am giving the Civexa Hot Beverage mug ( 5) five full stars and I am happy to recommend it.
