Nice sturdy steamers. The little legs are a bit high (1 5/16 in.) so that my pot lids do not close tightly over the basket/pot lid (I have 2 1/2 and 3 quart pots). The open space is minimal and does not effect the way it steams food and if you have deeper pots, the height should not matter. Not sure why the legs are higher than my old steamers. Like all my old steamers, these need care when removing it from a hot pot after steaming, but the little hooks that comes with them are a big help. Or, I just use the pot lid to drain the pot while the basket is still in the pot then grab the edge of the basket with a dish towel and tip the contents into the pot.

I used the steamer to steam a package of fresh spinach. I like its flexibility. The spinach steamed nicely but it was hard to get the steamer out of the kettle. I used hot pads. I really like the product though. Some other vegetables may make it easier to remove.

It's good. It's a bit hard to clean. The pegs on the bottom are nearly 1 inch long. Too long for my taste. I wish they were shorter so i could fit more into the pot.

This order was LONG overdue. I love to meal prep, I also love fast cooking methods, and this purchase is a great addition to any kitchen, especially for someone who loves to save time with pressure cooking meats to go with it, or a foodsaver addict who loves to prep.I bought a ton of meat and veggies for an all day meal prep for the following week. These steamers fit perfectly in my large stock pot and my large saucepan. I steamed pounds and pounds of veggies in just under 30 minutes. It o lt took a few minutes for each steamer tray for crisp, bright vibrant veggies. This is fantastic for anyone who uses a foodsaver to freeze their steam blanched veggies. They maintain their shape, texture, flavor and color after being thawed and reheated if you steam blanch them with these steamer baskets for just a few minutes for each batch.This is the most cost effective kitchen gagdet investment I have ever made. I will be buying tons of produce that's on sale and in season and be freezing them by the serving to make dinner time a breeze.Note: there is a type of hook that is curved around on one end and slightly curved on the other and I haven't figured out what it was for, as there were limited directions and pictures on the box. It seems the right diameter to slip into the post and ring in the center of each steamer basket for easier lifting but they don't quite fit in that hole(where the ring goes through) it would be great to know what it's for, there were two in the box. Any ideas????

I got these when my old one gave up the ghost after more than 20 years. They look as if they should work well and seem to actually be a bit more robust in construction. I’m quite encouraged.

Two sizes for different pots, sturdy, removable center & can pick out of pot without burning my self! Works greats!

When I received these steamers I thought they were very well made and they fit perfectly in my Instant Pots, both the 8-quart and the 6-quart. The larger steam basket is the perfect size for my family and it worked great for either sitting in the bottom of the pot or placed on top of meats and cooking vegetables. The problem is that I only used it 3 times and the middle stem came out when I was removing the vegetables. I thought it simply unscrewed from the base, but it appears that the threads were stripped and the stem will not screw back into the base. This wouldn't be a total loss, but with the depth of the Instant Pot, it's a real pain to get things out now that I can't simply lift the basket out by the stem. I think there was supposed to be a hook for lifting the baskets out, but I didn't receive that with my set. The stem on the smaller basket is a bit wobbly, so I'm a little nervous about that lasting, but so far so good. I think the baskets themselves are really good, especially for the price for two, but I'm not thrilled that the stem came apart from the basket so quickly.

This is a wonderful value for effective steam cooking at home. The two sizes allow me to steam in any size pot i have, including the large 10" diameter soup pot in the photo I uploaded here on amazon. It cleans well in the dishwasher and the hook and ring lifting setup is easy and uncomplicated. Because steam is HOT, I recommend first removing the steamed food with tongs, then waiting awhile to lift the basket out once the pot and water have cooled down. I had a question for the manufacturer and they responded quickly by email. No problems at all! I have had for 1.5 years now.

What a good deal you get 2 sizes of steamers that should work for most size pots ,I have had the smaller size and had been looking for the larger size but couldn't find one so was pleased to see amazon had it ,the parcel arrived in excellent time in an unwrapped box (my fault) I was asked if I wanted it in an amazon box and I either declined or didn't reply but the box arrived in good shape ,would recommend ,and would purchase again if needed

The product is like described, but personally I don't like it.It is hard to work with it because it closes to easily and it is not stable; hard to clean; all the time I need to be careful where I am placing it because scratches everything.Honestly, I think the price is too high for the quality you receive.

These are very good value. The only reservation I have is that the feet could scratch a non-stick pot.

False advertising, the central shaft is not stainless steel, but aluminium and can’t be washed in that with the aluminium shaft, DON’T lie to your clients!
