I’ve used aluminum based antiperspirant/deodorant combination for years but was unhappy about the aluminum. I recently decided to eliminate the antiperspirant and thus the aluminum by finding a good deodorant. I researched numerous brands and read many Amazon reviews before deciding to try the Old Spice Gentleman’s brown sugar/cocoa butter scent. Being a manly man I certainly didn’t want a lilac or lavender scent which would make me smell like a febreze air freshener. I feel like I lucked out first try and have now ordered the Gentleman’s twice and plan to stick with it. No need to search further.

Hate that it says it’s for men because as a female, this is my favorite and only stuff I’ll use

I love that it’s an aluminum free deodorant with the same texture as a normal deodorant, but I have to admit I’m not a fan of the smell. There’s something about it that is unappealing to me. I feel like it doesn’t work well with my body odor and I end up smelling musty. I’ll stick to the Oasis scent when I can find it. I am female, so maybe that can affect how the scent interacts with my B.O. but I doubt it. I prefer this brand to anything aluminum free that I tried from “women’s” deodorants. Everything else makes my pits sting and itch.

I'm old school and Old Spice used to be my go-to along with aqua velva. Reminds me of my father.I'm not sold on this scent, it doesn't really smell as it is advertised, or what you'd think it would smell like... and it's not overwhelmingly masculine or feminine, maybe it just is my body chemistry but I'm not a fan at all.
