powerful vacuum, somewhat awkward to use ...
I have been using vacuum sealers since FoodSaver's first model, and by now have purchased more than ten over the years, including the Waring Pro and the current Zwilling models. I have not used a chamber sealer, but expect that some day I will make that splurge...Among these, the Achilles heel of all is sealing bags that include liquid. None does a great job, including this one. But it is no worse than the comparable FoodSaver models. The next most serious issue that all of the bag sealers of this sort (Zwilling and Waring use very costly special bags and do not heat seal, so they are different; this and FoodSaver and most similar ones heat seal and can use rolls of continuous plastic bag material that you seal at one end first and then put your food in and then evacuate and then seal. The biggest problem is cutting the bags to size, evenly, and some machines take that so seriously that they let you put a whole roll in the machine and then use a built-in cutter to cut an even line to your custom size bag. This does not do that, but instead provides a small sort of hidden mini-box cutter that you can use to cut your bag from the roll. It's a bit dangerous to handle and awkward to us; personally I won't ever use it but will use a scissors or knife of my own instead.Which brings us to the machine itself, which does a first-rate job of evacuation: strong suction, great double seal. The instruction manual is a bit sketchy if you have never used a vacuum sealer before and you kind of have to figure out what it means. More importantly, the roll of plastic bag material that comes with it is a thinner gauge than I have ever used, and I would surely trust it for freezing but not for sous vide above 140 degrees or thereabouts for any extended period of time. This is powered by a rechargeable battery, with a USB-c cable included (but no charger). That makes it super handy, and a single charge will last pretty long, but it can run out of steam and, more importantly, when the battery is shot the entire machine will be useless...The down sides are pretty serious, so I would likely have rated at 2 or 3 stars except for the fact that it does the good things it does so very very well.

Compact vacuum sealer, look carefully at user guide if it is not working
I have a big vacuum sealer and find that I use it less often than I would like because I simply want to seal one bag and it is a bit of a bother getting it out and setting it up. This sealer is ideal when I simply want to seal one bag of food, but initially I was on the fence about how well it functions. After some careful analysis, I worked out how it should be used and now it works flawlessly. It can even seal multiple small bags simultaneously. The first item that I failed to do initially, was to ensure that the top bar clicks and clips into place. I now press several times in various places on the bar, until there are no clicks, to ensure that it is properly in place .The second thing that I failed to do, was to position the bag correctly when vacuuming the bag. Although the photos in the user guide show how to position the bag, there is no textual information to emphasize what is shown in the visual. You need to ensure that the ends of the bag are under the two short bars (see photo) before closing the lid. I failed to do this initially and sometimes it would pump away and never seal; other times it would pump a bit and seal before a proper vacuum had been established. Since I worked out the correct method, I have had no problems! So far, it is holding its charge well. The cutter is a dinky little free-standing thing - way too small for me to use accurately.Review for: EconoHome Food Vacuum Sealer Machine - Wireless, Rechargeable & Portable Sous Vide Vacuum Sealer with Built-In Cutter - Seals in 10 Seconds - 11.8" Width with 3 Sealing Modes - Includes 5 Sealing Bags

Works but Fidgety
This is my first vacuum sealer, and although it's nice and portable, it was really intimidating to figure out. The sealing itself isn't too difficult, but it does require the bags to be lined up just right. I'm hoping this will help keep our bulk chicken fresh. It came with quite a few bags, which was nice as well. I imagine someone with experience with a food sealer will get used to this a lot faster than I did.

Hard to close the lid
I ordered this because I have a large vacuum sealer that takes up space in my kitchen. I wanted something smaller and found this one.I was excited to receive it, but when I tried to use it, it was difficult to close the lid properly. It just didn't lock easily. When I manage to close it and use the Auto mode or seal mode, it doesn't always seal. Sometimes it works with larger bags, but not with smaller ones, even when the tips are in the slots. It is frustrating.I haven't tried manual mode yet, but the seal mode works well when I manage to close the lid properly.

lid won't click, can only use as a sealer
I had high hopes for this sealer. It’s portable, wireless once charged up, and large enough to seal things worth sealing. I followed the directions indicating to insert the bag into the vacuum chamber and push the top down fully, however after pushing vacuum and waiting 30 seconds, it was clear that no vacuuming was occurring. It wasn’t until I read another user's review indicating just how hard the lid needs to be pushed to ‘click’, that I realized something wasn’t working properly. I removed the bag and pushed the lid down to see if I could get it to click, and after much pressure, I was only able to secure the left side of the device. When I tried this with an actual bag in place, the lid would only click on the left side, but the right side would never fully make contact. All efforts to close the lid were unsuccessful. I tried holding the lid down to see if I could vacuum a bag without the click, but that does not work. I was able to use the sealing only feature of the device, but being able to vacuum is half of its function. The other features of this sealer; the bag-cutting device in the back was difficult to release, I would probably just use scissors to cut the bags. This comes with a small roll of large bags, which seem to be on par with the name brand sealing bags.
