Excellent product. I've used it to cover several canvases. It gets the job done and is easy to apply.

I use the gesso primer paint on the end tables I make. I use the primer before using acrylic paint to paint the top of the table. It helps keep the paint on the areas that I have primed with gesso and makes it easier to make my designs. I would order this product again. The only drawback is when the gesso dries up some on the lid and then those dried pieces fall into the primer when I pour it. It is definitely worth the money I paid for it. It does not have a smell and the quality is great.

This jar of gesso wad surprisingly heavy when I unboxed it. After opening, the gesso was extremely black!I painted a 20x20 new, white canvas with it. The coverage was amazing! It only took one coat of gesso to make the canvas completely black.It has a nice, matte finish, dried quickly and is ready to paint over with oil paints.It dried smooth and not blotchy. There are no white dots from the texture if the canvas.It's a great product!

The Gesso itself is great! Smooth, thick, and creates a great painting base! The lid to the tub, on the other hand, is incredibly difficult to open after your first use. It is such a flexible soft plastic that it just gives instead of actually turning, making it almost impossible to open.
