Intermittent break light problem...fixed 😊 Pug 307
So I was driving yesterday and had to pull over to reset the sat nav.A car pulled up beside me to tell me that my break lights were not working!I had not long had them all replaced. So I headed home, got my son to sit in the drivers seat and push down the break pedal when I tapped on the back window. The break lights were all working, but not every time the break pedal was pushed down.I'm a single mum with two teens so money is tight.I Googled the problem and found it was a common fault with Peugeots from 2005 onwards. It was the break light switch.I YouTubed how to locate and change it myself.I first located the old switch, Which is at the back of the passenger footwell up behind the glove box. I tried removing the old one. Found how easy it was.Popped onto Amazon, popped my reg number in and badda-bing badda-boom found a replacement, got it delivered today from Prime. Fitted it in less than 2 minutes.Sorted. Works perfectly again. Straight swap. Easy!Saved £75 Peugeot fault diagnostics, and then parts and labour to fix this simple 2 minute job, which I have no doubt would have taken 2 Pug mechanics to stand around and scratch their heads and umm and ahh for at least 2 hours at my expense! For less than £20 My car is safe to drive again and I'm one happy lady!My bank account is also very happy.Thank you!

Item purchased and arrived in 3 days.Purchased as direct replacement for a well documented problem of faulty brake lights and 3rd High brake light on Citroen C4 VT Coupe 56 plate.Switch was a slight pain to install as slight difference in shape from original Peugot/Citroen part, although it meant to be exact part but got it to fit in the end without having to force it in place. After installing new brake light switch only 2 brake lights are working BUT 3rd Brake light still refuses to work. The car WAS repaired by Citroen as per recall for faulty wiring loom, again which is well documented by C4 owners forum which is a great site to use for users of this and other models. Will have to wait and see how good product actually is. A bit expensive for switch but what price for safety.
