StoneCreek’s natural pebble stone tiles are really quite beautiful. Each stone on each tile is consistent as to the thickness as they are slices of stone. There are some marks on some of the stones and I think those are perhaps a result of the cutting process. I used a handheld polisher with some compound and the marks buffed out.What I love about these is that although the tiles are attached to the webbing in a similar pattern, these are not at all cookie-cutter tiles. The stones are natural and are designed to fit together, like a loose jigsaw puzzle, but you won’t have any repeating pattern. I can cut between the stone tiles easily if I need to, which I will be doing. Since all of the slices are the same thickness, they’ll look great on the picnic table I’m building.We have river rock in several planting beds in our backyard, and these tiles tie into that aesthetic. I’ll be installing these down the middle of my 6’ table, and more than just being a beautiful natural accent, they’ll provide protection from hot serving dishes.Versatile, natural and durable, these tiles are also quite heavy. I’m not sure I’d use them as a backsplash because it’d be a waste of functionality - and I’m not sure of my ability to install these vertically due to their weight. There are so many ways these tiles can be used where natural elements are incorporated - I’m contemplating re-tiling my front stoop with these - replacing Saltillo tile to better coordinate with the flagstone path, and for the price, these would be well within my budget.
