These things actually work
Not gonna lie, I wanted to get the gun that you load up with salt so I could sit back and blow these yellow jackets outta the sky. Imagine a drum mag full of salt loaded up, click-clack safety’s off, Bang! Bang! Bang! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrat! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Yellow jackets just exploding all over the place, broken wings & legs flying here & there. My backyard a mass graveyard for the fallen. But I guess I’ll never know what that kind of joy is like, because my wife said “hell no, you’ll end up shooting me, your son, all our plants blah blah blah” she kept talking for a while but I stopped listening & went back to making gun noises in my mind. So I had to get an alternative & found these things. They don’t involve any levels of violence, but they do actually work really well. Hopefully they stop working so I can get the salt gun.

Doesn't work
Don't waste your money, didn't even phase the wasps. Lol

I didn't really believe it until I saw it.
In my backyard I've got a wood fence with a lot of prime wasp real-estate. Every year, by June, I am spraying and knocking down the nests. My kids didn't even want to play in the backyard there were so many hanging around.I'm not sure exactly what I expected from these dummy nests, I know I wasn't expecting (even with all the positive reviews) to he nest free in my backyard but that's what happened. We sprayed and knocked down all the nests and hung up 1 of the Wasp Away's. At first we had some wasps that would fly around by the fence but they didn't hang around very long. Over a month since we got this and we've had no new nests and we've seen significantly less waps, even when the kids are playing in the water. Yes, my kids are playing in the backyard. I wish I had a before photo because I was knocking down 5 or 6 nests twice a week. They were everywhere and it was a nightmare when we mowed the lawn.I thought I was wasting my money a little when I bought this but this works.I've got one in my shed and in my RV parking also where they also used to hang out. I am practically wasp free.

It ain't got no alibi...
It works. After running out of battery juice behind wasps setting off my Blink camera, I bought these to put under the camera. Knocking down/spraying nests (both of daubers and papers) was not working and they keep coming back to build! Stuffed one of these things with grocery bags and tied it with twine under the camera. Significantly decreased the number of times wasps set off my camera. The only thing is that it's unsightly. I've had to tell people visiting who ask in disgust what it is to lay off. Unless they have to pay for and install those lithium batteries that are supposed to last 2 years (that don't especially when wasps buzz around), they need to keep their opinions to themselves! Never mind about how it looks-it doesn't even take a month for the color of the item to fade. To an even uglier faded green. Does not affect it's effectiveness though.

WORKS, but FADES in sun
I was blown away by how well these worked initially. I bought them to try and keep wasps away from my milkweed during monarch season and as soon as I hung them, the wasps disappeared. Unfortunately after a couple weeks the fabric faded in the sun from the browns and grays that look like a wasp hive into BLUES that do not in any way resemble a hive, so the wasps are back. Admittedly, I live in Florida and have a backyard with minimal shade, so this may not be a problem for people who live in gentler climates. I wish I would have sprayed them with Scotchguard like I do my patio furniture. Because they worked so well I’m considering repurchasing them and using the sun protectant spray but I’m giving them 3/5 stars because I’d prefer they come with some kind of sun protectant already.

They actually work surprisingly well!!
So for the past few years I’ve been using my old carpenter bee traps made out of an old 4x4 post and mason jars, they work great but my little one asked me why am I killing the bumblebees!!! So I decided to try something different. I gotta say I was skeptical about these wasp nest decoy’s but they actually work!!! I would have dozens of carpenter bees buzzing around my back porch, but since we put these up I may see a few but they don’t stick around long. Easy to put together, I just used some old shopping bags to get the shape. Worth every penny!!

Didn’t work on returning colony
I have a nest somewhere inside my eaves. These guys aren’t usually aggressive but they are near my door. I hung this up right under the entry point on the eaves well before the temperature warmed up. Today on the first warm day of the season the wasps were back. And flying by the decoy right into the old nest.I guess this doesn’t work if there is a pre-existing hive. Even through winter when all the wasps die but the queen. She must not care and will ignore the decoy.

So easy!!
I have worked with children for my whole life and am a mom. My childcare program centers were struggling with wasps that seemingly came out of nowhere. We have never had a problem before, but now all of a sudden, there they were. So annoying. Not only did I worry about being stung, but add in some staff and a large group of kids running around, and my stress level went way up. I have several kids with bee allergies so of course I was concerned for them and also any other kids who had never been stung and what their reactions might be.due to the fact that we run licensed childcare facilities, use of toxic anything is prohibited even if it is meant to keep the kids safe. So in my hunt for a natural remedy, I came across these fake wasp nests. I read the description and it was the only thing I could find that did not use any chemicals. So of course I ordered them! Once they arrived, I had my staff place them strategically around the play area. Then we waited. Over the next few days we started to notice fewer and fewer wasps. By the end of the week, there weren't any!Problem solved!!!
