Fantastic product
I got 4 of these sockets on a lightening deal when I purchased my echoes and have since purchased more. These are not that much more expensive than good electronic timers but so much more useful.I even set some of these up on my elderly mothers lamps, as I was forever having to adjust the settings on her electronic timers for her.She would often fall asleep in the chair and wake up in the dark. Now she just speaks to Alexa and she can control them from her chair.Setting the smart sockets up is very easy, and all mine have set up without trouble first time. Some people have mentioned that they have had to turn off 5g on the router to get them to connect. If you don't feel confident doing that, just try setting them up away from the router, as 2.4 g travels much further than 5g. The Smart Life app recommends being close to the router but it is worth trying if you don't want to delve into the router settings. The sockets themselves work very well with Alexa. If you have a routine set up they usually all work instantly at the same time. Each socket can be turned on or off from the Smart Life app home page. By opening the switch settings you can access timer functions or set scenes. There is also a manual switch on the side of the socket. If you have two sockets plugged in side by side, on a non individually switched extension, where the plugs are very close together, you can only use the switch on the left socket, as this socket prevents you accessing the switch on the right socket. (See images) If the switches were underneath or on top you could access them both. This is not a problem if plugged into a wall outlet as both switches can be accessed. Some people have commented that the socket is too big and interferes with the the switch on the wall outlet. (See images).Forgive me if you don't agree, but the whole point of having a smart socket is to do away with this switch!!! I see this so called interference as a positive, as it prevents the wall outlet from being accidentally switched off which would make the smart function of the socket unusable. These sockets are actually quite small in comparison to some other smart sockets and the quality is very good.I have recommended these to family and friends.

Home tech I love it when it works
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My first set of smart sockets, just under £22 I thought that was a good price to get started with, the sockets feel nice with no sharp edges, they look modern and they work.Quick connect would not work for me but there is a second option if that fails, I made a short video showing you how to connect with both options to help you,Once set up they work perfectly, I now have the option of using an ape to control them or ask Alexa.Gets my thumbs us

GAME CHANGER!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Our first smart plugs are a huge success. We were a little nervous about not going for the Amazon official plugs, but the saving was well worth it. They did take longer to set up than hoped - unlike the instructions in the box we needed the slow blinking light, but don’t worry, as the Smart Life app will talk you through the process. Our Son loves to ask, Alexa to “make it twinkle” - pure Christmas magic - and more importantly, no more clambering behind sofas to reach awkward plus for us! Definitely recommend!

I have these all over the house!!
These are fantastic plugs. I now have them all over the house! For the price, they're the best on the market. I have never had any problems with any of them and setup is a breeze. An added plus is the size of them... they are small which means that (even though not 100% recommended) I have them on top of some of the plugs on my 5 and 10 plug extension leads throughout my house - some of which are housed inside cable management boxes - still they work well. So, setup, as with other smart (IoT) devices is a case of pairing that device with the Smart Life app. I have other devices already paired on this app and so my home WiFi is already connected on there, so it's just a case of selecting the device in the app and having it connect. Easy. The app is excellent, to be fair, allowing multiple devices to be controlled in a simple clean interface. I have all my smart plugs and smart bulbs appropriately labelled in there - and it is very easy to switch them on, off and to set timers, adjust brightness (in the case of the light bulbs), etc...Extending this further to add voice command support isn't a great deal more effort. It is just a case of adding the Smart Life skill to ALexa allowing you to be able to voice control the devices from there - I have my Alexa app paired with a single Echo Dot, but will look to extend this.Overall, very happy with these plugs and I will look to get more when they go on offer, which is regularly! Even then, for the price, you can't beat these.

Best Compact Value
I've been considering WiFi sockets for over year and they all seem too bulky until I found these. These are SMALLER than the mechanical timers you buy.So impressed with the app, it not only let's you set alarms and schedules but shows how much energy it's using. I've even synchronised it with Amazon Alexa and was really impressed how quick and easy it all was.My only issue was to do with my Virgin Media WiFi and not the product. The product uses 2.4G but the latest WiFi boxes from Virgin use the same name for 2.4G and 5G which confuses the thing. A quick Google and change of setting on the Virgin Media router and it will all good - not the products fault but worth mentioning so you can fix it quicker than me.
