Excellent low-profile full-size keyboard — 4/5 at MSRP, 5/5 if you catch a sale.
Use case: Daily gaming + productivity (college coursework, long sessions) Games tested: GTA Online (aircraft flight), Ace Combat (keyboard flight controls) Typing profile: Long sessions, tactile preference, wrist comfort priority Comparison set: 8 years on a high-profile mechanical keyboard (1st Player DK5.0) Executive Summary The Logitech G915 X Wired is a premium-feeling, low-profile mechanical keyboard that delivers excellent tactile feedback, strong ecosystem integration, and real quality-of-life features like media controls and a volume wheel. The full-size layout is a major win for flight controls and productivity. The only real downside is the G-key placement, which has a learning curve. At full price, it’s good but debatable. On sale, it’s an easy recommendation. Performance Breakdown Typing feel (tactile switches): ★★★★☆ Noise balance: ★★★★☆ (audible without being obnoxious) Wrist/hand comfort: ★★★★☆ (low-profile design matters) Build quality: ★★★★☆ Lighting & software integration: ★★★★★ Layout efficiency (full-size): ★★★★★ Learning curve (G-keys): ★★★☆☆ Consistency matters. This keyboard performs exactly where it should. Feature & Experience Highlights Tactile switches hit the sweet spot: Not loud, not mushy. You always know when a key registers. Low-profile design: Huge upgrade from tall mechanical boards—less wrist strain, less clawing. Full 100% layout: The numpad is non-negotiable for flight in GTA Online and Ace Combat. This alone filters out most compact boards. Dedicated volume wheel + media controls: Genuinely useful. No more touching the headset or alt-tabbing mid-session. Logitech G Hub integration: Auto-loads lighting and profiles for keyboard, mouse, headset, and mic on startup. Ecosystem execution is strong. Comparative Insight Compared to older, higher-profile mechanical keyboards: This keyboard is far more comfortable for long sessions. The ergonomics are much better, and you will have fewer wrist aches. Compared to compact (60–75%) gaming keyboards: This keyboard has a lot more functions if you take numpads and arrow keys seriously. Compared to cheap mechanical keyboards: Indefinetly better, materials are high quality, and the keys will not give out after 6-12 months of serious use. Price-Reality Check At full price, it's a good keyboard, but I would only buy it if you have the money and your old keyboard has given out on you. If you can catch it on sale, immediately buy it; you will not be disappointed. Pros/Cons Pros Comfortable low-profile mechanical design Excellent tactile switch feel Full-size layout with numpad Outstanding media controls and volume wheel Strong Logitech ecosystem integration Cons G-keys are awkwardly placed at first Muscle memory adjustment required if you’re used to CTRL in the far corner Final Verdict Buy if: you want a low-profile, full-size mechanical keyboard with strong software support and real usability gains Skip if: you hate relearning key placement or only want compact boards

Some welcome refinments coming from a 5-year old G815
This review is for: Logitech G915 X Wired I ordered this keyboard to upgrade/replace my 5-year old G815, (which is still working). Finally Logitech has backlit the special characters, amazing...that they did not initially have characters backlit. The keys themself have also improved it seems to "double-shot PBT keycaps", said to last longer and are more resistant to wear, shine, and fading than previous ABS plastic keys (according to my co pilot query). Logitech's (somewhat clusterous) G HUB has improved over the years but still takes some getting familiar with. After receiving inaccurate information from co pilot, stating that the G915 X (wired or not) keyboards were not able to save user-programmed macros and light settings to the keyboard's internal memory, i was able to debunk this myself and glad i did. To be clear, G HUB is needed to initially set and then save your keyboard macros and lighting configuration, but once saved (burned) to the internal keyboard memory, you CAN uninstall G HUB and then also use the keyboard on other computers, even apple, and both your lighting settings and macros will work! Logitech's documentation does state that "complex" macros cannot be saved to internal memory. I am not sure what complex macros are, so you should check before buying. I called and spoke (on phone) with a Logitech customer service associate, they were quite helpful and helped my find the documented PDF that validated what i was looking for (the macros and saving to keyboard's memory). Though a bit pricey, these are fabulous keyboards that are built quite well. I use for web programming, not gaming. ~humanly reviewed and composed

Good, but not convenient for Mac users
Nice keyboard, but hard to use if you are use to a Mac Keyboard style. The command key is in the incorrect place for Mac users.

Good keyboard
The keys on the left side of the board take some getting used to. I've hit those buttons through muscle memory quite a few times when wanting to hit tilde, Q etc.

Good effort logitech
This keyboard is a direct improvement over the g815. I’m glad that Logitech actually listened to customer feedback and fixed most of the issues. New switches have less wobble, higher quality keycaps, less flex in the chassis, secondary symbols are now backlit, and some symbols are now larger for better visibility. It also doesn’t rattle when you shake it, unlike the g815.

One of the best gaming keyboards I've used
Awesome gaming keyboard. Love I can customize the colors of the keys. And all keys are programmable. Very quiet for a mechanical keyboard.

Perfect deal.
More than happy with this refurbished G915 X keyboard. Not 1 flaw and $80 off the price.

Feels pretty heavy duty
My wife plays World of Warcraft she says it's great I say it's very expensive. But she let me get lucky after I bought it so I'm giving it five stars
