It Irritated my puppies at first, but it works great

This item was applied as directed for the weight of dog specified. She was not covered in fleas, but had a few on her as it was the beginning the season, over 48 hours later she still has fleas on her. She is severely allergic to fleas and ends up with a contact dermatitis, which requires her to have an antibiotic, if they are left untreated for an extended period of time. I now can not use another topical product on her for a month and this one is doing nothing.

The first few days after applying it, the dog has tremoring, and easy startling. It wears off after the first week. Much less problems with fleas after using.

Instead of using this ProSense Flea & Tick Prevention over a 3 month span with one dog, I used it on all three dogs for one month, to get a greater sample for this review. I applied the preventative approximately 3 weeks ago.Dog 1: My shepherd/malinois/cattle dog mix is approximately 32 pounds, the highest recommended weight for this formula. She has very sensitive skin and goes swimming often. After applying this flea & tick preventative, I have not noticed an increase in her itching. I have not seen any fleas & ticks on her yet, even with regular trips to local trails and rivers. This year last time, she got approximately 40 ticks in one weekend. (This probably varies do to weather, and condition and location of the trails, but I am happy to report that I have not found any ticks on her yet this year.Dog 2: My rat terrier is approximately 17 lbs. She is more of an indoor dog with no skin conditions. I have not seen any fleas or ticks on her and the formula does not irritate her skin.Dog 3: The yorkshire terrier as at the lower weight limit for this formula. Like the rat terrier, she is more of an indoor dog and also does not have any skin issues. I have not seen any fleas or ticks on her yet this year.ProSense worked for 3/3 dogs.

It was a waste of time & money! Which I’ve had to wait a bit longer to take my dogs to the vet and got first shield trio to help since we’ve wasted time with this product I believe they ended up with more fleas because of the wasted waiting time I had to do to put on an effective product. I don’t recommend this product pro sense 7.

This a review for the Pro-Sense brand 7 Flea and Tick Preventative for use on dogs or puppies 12 weeks of age or older, weighing 11-32 lb. I have heard things recently that vets are finding that the topical treatments are just not as effective as they used to be in killing various fleas, mites, and ticks, however, I still wanted to try this for my new puppy that is under 30lbs and 12 weeks old. The Pro-Sense 7 advanced for dogs claims to, "Break the flea life cycle" and will, "Prevent fleas and ticks for up to 4 weeks". So far, it seems to be working. We live in an area with mostly fleas present and not a lot of ticks, however, our puppy had ticks when we first adopted him. This product description explains that it will, "Kill flea eggs and flea larvae while also killing and repelling fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, lice and mites" and, "Kills and repels: flea eggs, flea larvae, fleas, ricks, mosquitoes, lice and mites". The 3 month supply, or 3 ready to use treatments, are handy. After a few weeks we have not found any ticks or fleas on our dog. Hopefully this will continue. The instructions were also easy to follow. You gently squeeze the applicator in between your pet's shoulder blades after parting the hair. I also want to mention that this topical treatment has a strong odor at first but it does dissipate.

For those who are looking for a solid flea and tick preventative for their dogs, give the Pro-Sense 7 a try!It kills flea eggs, larvae, repels fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, lice and mites.You get a three month supply. Easy to use. Just pour on top of your dogs body (between the shoulder blades), squeeze the applicator (after cutting the tip) and that's it.Works a lot better than the collar-based flea and tick preventative. Simple t use and recommended!

Very unpleased with this product. Fleas and "flea dirt" still present a week after first application. Did a flea bomb in conjunction with this product to rid any fleas present in the house. Bought her a new dog bed and flea combed her for several days after application. There are less fleas but not rid of them. With Frontline, fleas were gone in two days and didn't see them again for two months during this same time of year. Get what you pay for, I guess. I won't try to save a few dollars in the future.
