Sexy and sassy come together for one hot romance!
I am a huge lover of Katy Evans and her stories. After reading Tycoon and meeting the sassy Sara in that book, I was hoping that Katy would put us readers out of our misery and fill us in on whether she ever finds her mystery one night stand guy.Well, yes, she does find out who he is and lets just say that the one night they had together was mild compared to what happens when they find each other again. This story definitely is on the erotic side of contemporary romance. Hot and steamy, Sara and Ian have absolutely no issues at all in the bedroom. It's just out of the bedroom that they need some work.Ian is going through an ugly divorce that has been dragging on for over a year. He hasn't been interested in anything at all except for work, until he shares a cab with Sara. Now he can hardly concentrate on anything but her, but all he can offer her is sex. The same goes for Sara, whose own life has been upended with the sudden announcement that her father is divorcing her mother. If her father, who she worshipped, can fall out of love with her mother, what hope is there for any couple to stay together?Katy always writes amazing stories, but this one felt a little sparse for me. There's a lot of sexy times between Sara and Ian, which I think left little room for a more substantial storyline between this couple. There's some drama with Ian's soon to be ex-wife, and we get to see Bryn and Becka again from Tycoon. I would have liked to see the actual relationship between Sara and Ian explored a little deeper, because as it stands, I didn't feel a solid connection with them. I think I felt a little put off by Sara with the way she speaks to Ian, and the nicknames she gives him were kind of on the crude side. Ian's nicknames for Sara are very cute and had me goofy smiling. There is a great deal of push and pull between this couple until almost the very end, and then everything was wrapped up with a beautiful bow in regards to their happily ever after. Perhaps we'll see more of them in Becka's book which Katy has said she'll be writing. This is a very enjoyable read, and if you're looking for a very steamy, sexy read, this one if perfect! I am excited to see what Katy is going to bring us next!

I don't get all the hype
May contain spoilers...I'm disappointed. This came recommended left and right and friends seems to LOVED it. But I didn't enjoy it as much. I was looking for that emotional connection but it didn't get there until 70% I would say. There just wasn't much meat to the story. The main characters met and there was instant sexual chemistry and throughout the book tries to play it cool. Relationship, or lacked there of was relegated to a series of hotels hookups and sexual romps. Which I supposed was meant to be sexy but I found Sara wayyyy too desperate and sex-starved. Aimless and no real ambitions. Salivating at the thought of meeting her mysterious, gorgeous stranger that rocked her world. That's pretty much her thought process as she was going throughs jobs. Not much else focus or direction in life but aching to meet her one- night stand again. As for Ian. I really expected a more dominant, fierce, male. But he came off passive, weak and a sort of a wuss. He caught his wife cheating but she seemed to controlled him. He's still allowing her to live a life of luxury despite her betrayal. Spending HIS money, flying his private jet with her other lovers and then sending all the bills and invoices to Ian. And he just accepts it. When his lawyer suggested cutting her off, Ian growled "And let her starve?" Really?? This woman made a fool of him with absolutely no guilt or remorse. And BLAMED him for her cheating. Stop playing the nice guy and grow a pair. I also hate it when she made disparaging remarks about Sara to his face and he doesn't tell her shut her trap. In more colorful words. This witch has such audacity and no shame, Ian needed to be more tough and stop letting her use him. He owed her nothing. So yea, I'm just disappointed that I wasn't more wowed by this book. I really did expected better. Despite the plot involving a romance that stems from nothing but sexual encounters here and there. I felt the author could of taken it up a notch as it was missing the heartfelt romance that I know she can deliver really well. But unfortunately I never got invested in the main characters. They were just unimpressive and their whole relationship just seemed superficial. All about sex and orgasm. Not sure when and how they are suddenly "In Love". As for Sara, the eager beaver, jumping to Ian's beck and call. She came off always horny, ditzy, and lacking self-control. Her calling Ian her "yummy mofu" comes off crass and not cute. *shrugs* Just not an appealing heroine to me at all.IMO, this was a mediocre book and not worth all the hype. Ah well. Maybe next book.

Sadly, not worth it.
Disappointing read. I have read lots of books by Katy and this didn't match the Manwhore series or the Commander in chief duology.I found it very hard to like the lead female Sara. She seemed cold - in particular when showing her new flatmate round the apartment. There wasn't much to like about her in general, especially her continued use of calling Ian her Yummy Motherfu**er. Who does that??Sections felt rushed, where dialogue was confusing or I was missing some element of the story/scene. I now understand that Brynn's story is Tycoon but as this was woven in a little into this story but without all the details, it jarred. I wish that was kept separate to this book as it was unsatisfying.I didn't find the lead at all hot or sexy. Their intimacy was dull. Their romance did nothing for me.Not Katy's best work.

Wonderful!
This book got off to a great start with a hot one night stand. Then the two main characters go their separate ways. Then there's a chance meeting a few months later.I really liked the two characters, Sara has sass, and has dreams she wants to follow. And she's dealing with things going on. Ian is a workaholic, with an unresolved personal life. This book had a great pace to the story, and you can see the relationship growing - it definitely had realism there. There's plenty of steamy chemistry. I enjoyed reading this - for the most part, nothing overly dramatic. I look forward to the next book.

I really love Katy Evans
This book was alright, parts were superb, parts were predictable, parts I felt were poorly worded. I really love Katy Evans, and have read all of her books. This one just lacks the sparkle and intrigue all her others possess. Her characters are always rich, energetic, warm and colourful. Both Ian and Sara possessed some of these traits, not all of them. The plot was predictable in places, mischievous in others and very erotic in others. Take out the last topic and the storyline lacked substance. It was easy reading, though. Enjoyable and rewarding.

So good!
I loved this book. It's another homerun for me from Katy Evans. It's her characterisation. It's so strong that it just makes the characters seem so real.I loved the dual perspectives of dating a man going through a divorce and that lens, and then the lens of her mother in pain because her father has left her. Two side of the coin and I thought it was so clever that she included that.A must read for any Katy Evans fan.

Another Fab Book in the Manwhore Series!!!!
I am always super excited for new words from Katy and I enjoyed Sara & Ian so much. Dirty words, passionate rendezvous and falling in Iove may not always happen at the right time but it's epic with the right sassy Dancer and a Mogul who gets what he wants. With tricky circumstances and secrets this couple will take you on an emotional journey to find love in the Big Apple. Another Amazing read by Katy Evans.
