Great little CPU for many office tasks general usage
I am using one of these in a Z890 Proart Motherboard, Intel x710 10gb ethernet, 16 port SAS HBA card with 96gb RAM and 13 26TB WD Red Pro and Gold Enterprise drives for a media server. Boot and cache drives are Samsung 9100 Pro drives. This 245k is just doing straight up file/media server duties and also hosts a Quickbooks company file. Way more then enough processing power for my needs.

Powerful efficient cpu
Works great for my media server build. Runs cool and doesn't use a lot of power. The 245k's built in AV1 encoding is what sold me on this CPU. This saves me money from having to buy a discrete GPU and having to power a discrete GPU in a 24/7/365 situation.

Good CPU but a little overpriced
Has been able to shred any tasks I've thrown at it.. My home server runs off this CPU and it has not had a single issue running over 20 docker containers, a couple VMS, and a disk array with 9 hard drives, 4 sata ssd, and 4 nvme drives. Would recommend.

Great CPU so far
It may be slightly slower than Intels previous generation and not as good as AMD's ryzen 5 but its extremely energy effiecent and runs a lot cooler. This new Intel architecture gets a lot more performance per watt and I like the direction Intel is heading. For its intended use case this cpu is more than fast enough. It will play any game you through at it without issues and handle everyday needs. Overall its just a solid mid range cpu.

It fits only LGA 1851 sockets yo!
"I purchased this CPU thinking it would be the perfect upgrade for my setup, but unfortunately, it didn’t fit my motherboard. Despite being marketed as a LGA 1700 compatible, the specifications were incorrect. This led to wasted time, effort, and additional expense to find a CPU that actually works with my system. If you're considering this product, double-check the socket type and compatibility information—it’s not as straightforward as it should be. Very disappointed!

I did a lot of research before picking the 245k, I was actually about to buy the I7 14700k and then saw this processor. It has received a lot of bad press, but this is primarily based on gaming performance versus previous generation 14700k at the same price point. However two things made me buy this instead: the primary use for the PC is for Blender usage, and the 245k scores 316 versus 396 for the 14700, and is way above the likes of AMD 7800X3D (261 core) and was priced at a 1/3 of the price for me. This left enough money to get a better GPU So this was a clear winner for me from a value for money perspective.

I recently purchased Intel Core Ultra 5 Desktop Processor for my new gaming PC build and have been very pleased so far. This cpu computes faster than any cpu I’ve had before, and I think it’s one of the best cpu especially for its price range. Before buying this new cpu, I was having a lot of lag and long loading times. This CPU solved it all! Overall, it’s an exceptionally great cpu for the price range, JUST MAKE SURE YOUR MOTHERBOARD, RAM AND CPU COOLER ARE ALSO LGA 1851 :)
