The RJ45 end is made from tough looking black plastic with gold coated connectors within which should ensure a good solid connection which in turn should eliminate or help reduce any drop outs or performance issues which can be caused by a poor connection. The cable is about six inches in length and again appears to be made from good quality cable. The cable ends are moulded into the connectors so there should be no issues due to loose cables or the connectors pulling off if the cable is tugged. The USB Type C connector again seems well built.In use I found this worked straight out of the box, no messing around with drivers or having to set it up, I plugged it in and within a few seconds it was recognised and was up and running. This performs well without issue, I have a good solid connection now using an ethernet cable instead of my twitchy wi-fi which only seems to work if I'm in the same room as my router.This is a great little adapter which is easy to install and works faultlessly where a wi-fi signal is just not up to the job. The downside is that you will need to run a cable from your router to this adapter. Nowadays this is not such a problem as lay flat ethernet cables are fairly cheap to buy and are easily hidden under carpets etc. Wi-fi is handy but you simply cannot beat the reliability of being connected direct via an ethernet cable. Very convenient. Ordered it to use to convert Macbook USB-C port to Ethernet to download games and works very well. No fuss installation. Handy as Macbook only has one USB-C port and you could only use wireless internet otherwise - especially when you need to download a big file quickly. May be useful to note that it also works with Chromebook and Linux.There's a LED indicator so you know what's going on. The cable part is about 12cm long (excluding the two ends) - I find this length sufficient. The speed is good and plug and play. Item received of good quality, sturdy and comes with warranty. The look and feel of this converter is cool, it doesn't look like a cheap plastic converter. Very happy with the purchase!

Easy to install on Windows 10, after reboot. Compact and simple. Indicators a bit lacking, no LAN and data indication. No problems identified in use. A solid buy for adding Ethernet to a laptop, tablet or Chromebook that only has USB-C. I'm buying another.

The media could not be loaded. I'm very pleased with this product. It feels high in quality, and very well made. I've managed to get excellent speeds and it has been very reliable. The packaging was minimal and mostly recyclable which is a bonus. The device came with a detailed instruction manual which was written in English.The device did not require any drivers and worked immediately after plugging it in. I've tested it so far with a Macbook Pro, Windows 10 laptop and a Samsung Galaxy s20 5g, it worked perfectly on each device.Would highly recommend Tecknet products, would definitely buy from them again.

Bought this to connect Android phone to ethernet. Works brilliantly straight out of the box.! Very pleased. Note: phone is a pixel 8.The product itself is sturdy and seems well built.
