Amazing find. Perfect solution for iPhone videography
Took a lot of internet research to finally find this little gem. I'm using it on a BeastGrip iPhone 15 Pro set up with a Rode mic and Samsung 2TB SSD. Works perfectly. Because the Rode mic is powered, I can plug both into the Small Rig hub and the iPhone can "see" the Samsung 2TB SSD and the Rode mic. The SmallRig hub has a very clever clip / cold shoe attachment that allows you to slide it into a cold shoe or clip it to your equipment. The cable is nice and short so no extra cable to fiddle with. And, the hub has a charging port so you can charge your iPhone as needed. This is truly one of those niche products that fits the bill perfectly. Even the price was right.

Must have for any videographer
A must have for any content creator, photographer or videographer. I got this because I was looming for a way to transfer files from as card reader to external hard drive through an iPad while ipad is being charged. This does the trick! I have also started doing more video and built out my camera a cage so when I get a Vmount battery, this is a must.

Bad quality and poor speeds
I own a few SmallRig products and am generally please with quality. The SmallRig hub is definitely an exception.Upon opening the box, I saw that the internal circuit board and housing had become separated. Not that big of a deal, as it quickly went back together. But after trying to use it with my SmallRig cage, Samsung T7 SSD, external power supply and iPhone, it quickly became clear that this hub has problems.Build quality is lacking - very thin housing in which the end plates come apart to easily in turn exposing the circuit board. This hub could not keep up with the 4K speed of the iPhone video camera. It would either lose communication with the hard drive or cut the video recording within 9 seconds. After taking the hub out and connecting the SSD directly to the IPHONE, 4K recording was flawless. I tried again with many different high quality USB C cables and still the same results with the hubPower pass through with a external battery worked fine.I really wanted to like the hub, but the build quality and advertised speed are not there. I have another small hub from a different company that works just fine in the setup.Returning the product. My hope is SmallRig can introduce a better quality hub in the future to go with the rest of their outstanding lineup.

Does not work for mobile pc to mobile monitor
Seems great for what it’s intended for, but does not work for an on-the-go handheld gaming pc to mobile monitor setup :/ 5-star review because I’m team small rig for my mobile computer setup and my camera equipment because I like it modular

Flawed Product
I tried to make this work. It would drop the connection to my external battery pack, SSD and Microphone. I contacted customer service and sent them these pictures. They kept insisting I should send them a video. Not sure what a video would show. After reading a few other reviews that had the same issue, one can only conclude there is a flaw in this product. This one is going back.

Perfect, passes audio through to Final Cut app
Needed a small hub that would allow me to record to a SSD and also pass audio through to my Final Cut app on my phone. This works flawlessly! Great price too!

Didn't work with External Microphones!
It works great with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and SSD. It's awesome to have the power delivery when filming so I'm not worried about my phone's battery. I wasn't able to get the phone connected with any of my external Mics (I tried my Hollyland Lark M2's, Movo Shotgun, and Samson mic) So that was kind of a deal breaker for me.
