The most helpful review of all!
I've noticed several reviews by people complaining that these twin-pack action figures are cheaply made because they break when opened. Not true. These 4+ inch action figures (not 3 3/4 inch as advertised) are actually of better quality and more durable than the Marvel Universe or Legends Series. The problem is the packaging. The inner plastic mold is seemingly designed to break the product upon opening! Why they do this? Not important. What is important is the solution. After removing outer-packaging, with scissors cut slits in the inner-packaging plastic all around the figures. Then tear the slits up to the edges of of each figure, especially the arms, legs, & head, and gently, carefully pull down the plastic molding strips away from the figures, freeing them unbroken from their plastic nightmare-packaged prison cell. Problem solved! With that being said, in detail & design, other than the packaging, these figures Rock! If only they had sold these back when I was a kid waiting at the comic book stand for the new Daredevil or Spiderman comic!

Warning: Only a review for the Absorbing Man figure.
I have the Absorbing Man figure from this set, with the wrecking ball. Decent figure, but the chest feels like very cheap plastic. These are more for collectors, not for ones who prefer to play with their figures.

Marvel's Universe 3.75 line produces some of the best action figures
Marvel 25th. Anniversary comic 2 packs are great but this one has the Wasp as a bonus figure! a must for Marvel fans.

It's hard to get these figures to stand up
It's cool to get these packs that come with two Marvel figures and a comic book, and this one, #10 out of 12 in the "Secret Wars" series, is probably an attractive buy because it includes Dr. Doom, one of the major supervillains in the Marvel universe. But I found the quality of these toys disappointing.Firstly, Hasbro goes crazy with the packaging of its action figures. Sometimes it's like the plastic was molded around the figure, and it's a lot of work to carefully remove the toy. I wonder if I'm even supposed to take it out of the package. The figures' hands are stuck through holes in the back of the plastic, for reasons unknown. (Dr. Doom's head came off as I struggled with the rest of his body. I popped it back on later, so it's all good.) And Hasbro attaches the outer plastic blister thing to the cardboard with glue on the front, tape on the back, folded over, twisted in countless directions. Action figure packaging was much simpler when I was a child. The product looks great in the packaging, but the toys didn't impress me out on their own. Dr. Doom's legs are hard to pose, due in part to his green skirt-like tunic thing. But I can't get his legs to go where I want them, and his feet spin around when I don't want them to. The figure wouldn't stand on its own if it wasn't for its rubbery cape supporting it.Doom's upper body works fine and the figure looks pretty cool.Next there's Absorbing Man, a character I know very little about. The figure looks cool; he's bald and shirtless and he looks angry. He wears pants that sag over his shoes. This nullifies whatever ankle joints the figure may have and it's a bit of a trick getting his shoes level so he can stand up. He can't be set up in a lot of poses because he can only stand upright.Dr. Doom comes with a tiny black pistol which he can hold but not holster. (It's very small an easily lost.) Absorbing Man comes with a plastic ball and chain to hold or swing around or whatever. As a little bonus, this comic pack also comes with a third character. (Sort of.) A tiny little toy of Wasp. She's very tiny (about the size of a real wasp) and has absolutely no articulation. But she's in an action pose and Wasp's inclusion is a nice bonus. So while I like these 3-3/4" scale Marvel figures and these Secret Wars comic packs, this one was kind of a letdown. I don't know how much fun kids would have with these toys, which seem to be aimed at collectors who'll keep them in the package on a shelf somewhere. Dr. Doom is a cool villain to add to your Marvel lineup, but he may not be durable enough for young children and be too frustrating for older children. (Or maybe not.)Still, if you're collecting all 12 "Secret Wars" 25th anniversary comic packs, you'll need this one. And if you're building a Marvel action figure army, you might want to check this out, unless Hasbro releases an individual Dr. Doom figure.

Headless Heroes
These action figures are not nearly as sturdy as figures in other series. Heads and legs pop off while opening. Dr. Doom's head popped off me and my child as it did for another reviewer. I've bought several other 2 packs in this series and had the same results. This series is a good way for collectors to find lesser known characters, but not a good choice for kids who actually want to play with them.
