this is a terrific, high quality and VERY grippy pad! ... specifically (all pros); • thin, yes, but, adequate thickness to protect your rug from wear, without being too thick, which can be hazardous for the elderly or foot-draggers, especially if you are utilizing it under a thick rug. our's is utilized wit a 3x5 at the front door foyer, where there is very little clearance from the bottom of the front door to the foyer floor... as such, we required a thin pad that is no more than 1/8" thick... and, this fit the order perfectly! :-) • nice, comfortable cushion, despite the thinness, and protects the carpet from wear very well, which is anticipated for years. • durability; very good... heavy, daily usage for almost 6 months and zero signs of wear or compression... excellent! • pad was received moderately cut just under 3'x5', so there is no trimming required to ensure no pad shows... but, it still provides full 3x5 rug protection....an excellent feature and time saver! ... first time that i did not need to trim pad, so it did not show! • zero slippage; given that it gets a lot of traffic in the foyer, there is absolutely no movement, either between the rug and pad or the pad and floor. it is like it is all tacked down! normally, the rug and pad are sliding about or the rug is sliding off the pad... with this pad, those issues do not exist, as, once again, it has superb non-slip against both the floor and rug. | note - we often receive queries as to whether it is tacked or taped down... it is just "that grippy"! |lastly, there are absolutely no "cons" to this rug pad... it is excellent, in every way, and we will only be purchasing this brand, for future purchases.exceptionally pleased, Thank you. :-)

This is a great rug pad - it holds well and is thick enough to where it can protect the hardwood floors against any sort of damage from chairs and furniture above. My one issue was that I think it might have been the wrong size? I have a 5x8 ft rug, and this rug pad was decidedly shorter length-wise (maybe 7ft?), and a little longer width-wise (had to trim the end). It worked fine for me, but something to note as you're purchasing!

Good cushioning for throw rug. Easy to cut to fit under our throw rug.

I bought a new living room set and the couch cushions kept sliding out. I've bought these in the past and they didn't work but this is much thicker, better quality. My couch cushions no longer love. Definitely recommend!

I am disappointed to tell you that these did not stop my rugs from slipping, which was my intent when I bought them. They are soft and it seems well-made, but they're not doing the job that I bought them for. If you need adhesion, this is not the right carpet pad.

We have an area rug in our family room that's always sliding across the floor, and it was driving me wild. I was sure at some point, a kid was going to skid on it and go tumbling, but the prices of the rug pads at Target were so high that I didn't want to splurge.When I first opened the package, there was an unpleasant, chemically odor, but it had dissipated by the time 30 minutes had passed. The pad was slightly tacky to the touch, but unfolded easily. It was simple to reposition. I was pleased to find out that it didn't need to cover the entire area of the rug, and in fact, we switched this 3x5 pad over to our 5x7 rug and it's been keeping it in place quite nicely.It's quite thin and I didn't expect to feel a difference when standing on it, because I couldn't SEE a difference--but when I stepped on it, I could feel the cushioning. It didn't feel like a rug placed on top of a padding--it just felt like a slightly more high-end rug, which was a pleasant surprise. The thinness also ensured that crumbs wouldn't constantly be rolling under it--in the attached photo, you can see how, with the padding ending about a centimeter short of that rug, there is no noticeable lift in the edge. In the second photo, you can see how it can be positioned in the center to keep a larger rug in placeOverall, I was pleasantly surprised. The pricing is good, and it delivers what it claims to--no slips, and a slight cushioningI received this rug pad at a discount in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.

Two Bull Terriers play on our new 9x12 carpet with this underlay. They play, run around, chew toys, etc and carpet stays in place. No smell and fit exactly. Happy with purchase.

Exactly right size for our 6X9 area rug

We were concerned about slippage accidents and so fought shy of buying rugs to put on our hard floors. The rooms looked so sparse though, so we decided to experiment with rugs in one room. I looked at all sorts of anti-slip mats but this one stood out. The reviews were good and it looked good quality. A year on and with no accidents, we bought more rugs and have used this product again. Those rugs are going nowhere. The grip is wonderful. Our home now looks nice and cosy!
