AGM M9 4G Rugged Phone
Good Phone with a backup battery. After 4 months of using the speaker stopped working

I use the phone infrequently and it works fine for sound clarity and texting (old style texting via phone keys). It came with a spare battery. As the phone is advertised as water resistant and comes with rubber seals to prevent water ingress, the cap covering the charging and audio out (headphone - not supplied) jack is quite stiff to remove and put back in after charging. Other than that as a minor item to note the phone has performed well over the past month.

Mum has always struggled with technology, and despite attempts to do it there’s no chance she’s going to cope with a smartphone. Instead a regular mobile phone like this one is her best option. With arthritic hands the buttons need to be well-sized and easy to press, and she’s coped well with these ones. The menus on it are fairly simple, and better than they were on old non-smart phones that I used myself. I like that it’s possible to keep things very simple especially if someone else does the setting-up and adds the contact list etc. Build quality is much better than expected, and it feels reassuringly robust without being bulky. Battery life has been good too, and a second battery is included which we’re pleased about. It’s worth noting that some dexterity is needed to change the battery, and even to insert SIM or memory cards, but that’s not unusual with a mobile phone. It’s also important to know that a small piece of protective insulation tape is installed over the battery’s contacts from the box, and it must be removed before the phone will switch on. In terms of appearance this phone looks good, with a smart appearance. I’d certainly be happy to use it myself, and in fact I think it would be an excellent choice of phone for anyone needing a robust model. This one is more likely to survive daily life in a rugged environment than any smartphone I’ve used.

A little expensive and slightly larger than what I was looking for, but it is tailored to olde people. Battery a bit of. Disapointment as it seems to last less than a week with 2 sims running and only a few phome calls. In comparison, my previous phone, Q Mobile purchased in Pakistan in 2014, still gets at least 10 days and is considerabl smaller build though the screen is about the same size. One interesting "hidden feature" is that there is a Opera internet browser that I can only open by clicking links received in text messages. I have no idea if there is any other way to access it as I cant find it mentioned in the menu anywhere.
