This cream worked well for me when using for skin rashes from dryness...I don't use it to prevent sweating, as it is a moisturizer as well.

Q: Will this work on extremely chapped hands due to constant exposure to water softeners?

Yes, I have used it for a year and I am in healthcare so water, water, water and soap all day long. It works lovely.
