At last, a Razor that doesnt cut your ears off or cost you a leg. And an Arm.
*** Updated after four months of useage ***I have added a couple of pictures, a before and and after and also my old trusty Gillette being consigned to the bin! After i had used up the six blade cartridges that came with the handle i ordered some more. Unfortunately i wasnt paying a lot of attention and bought the five blades by accident. No problem, i would see how i go and it really hasnt been to much detriment of the performance of the razor.Everything i said in my initial review stands true, i am shaving less frequently, i have a closer shave, nick and cut free, the blades last longer and so i am saving a lot of money.Highly recommended! Buy some if you are even considering a move away from the heavily hyped big brands!--------For several years i have been using Gillette Fusion Pro Glide, which depending on where you shop and in what size pack you buy can cost anything between £2-3 per blade. Its served me well over the years, i always get a consistent shave, no nicks or cuts unless ive ran out of gel and am using a soap/toothpaste combo to oil my balding head.Typically ill use one blade per week, shaving my massive head every 48 hours. I don't know if i should be getting more or less, i just look at the rub strip and generally go off that rather than deliberating over the sharpness of the blade.I was in no rush to switch but have mulled it over in the past and tried a couple of other brands. Primarily my reason for switching is cost, and also every likes new stuff don't they? I picked this based on reviews, i wasn't aware Amazon ran a branded razor and cost. Also this has six blades, six! Why have three, or four, or five, when you can have six, six has got to be better hasnt it??The Good -- The razor arrives in a plain brown box, a simple sheet of instructions and the stick along with the typical four pack plastic blade holder. So far so good.- The stick is a nice weight, it feels solid in the hand, its a different style of handle, a more traditional one than the Gillette but still with a modern blade interface similar to the rest of the market. You plug the stick into the blade socket and away you go.- The rubber strip seems to lubricate the shave well enough, i generally shave in the shower or without looking much, feeling with one hand shaving with the other. Stroke wise i have in the past approached a new razor with some trepidation in case i nick the top half of my ear off. If you've used the plastic two blade Bic's from the 1960s then you'll know what i mean. After a couple of strokes i didn't feel nervous.- The shave is smooth, no irritation post, no close calls or cuts during and comfortable throughout. As per the picture you can see it was close, very close. Its easy to sometimes say this is better than my predecessor and not have evidence or just be clouded by shiny new stuff, but this genuinely has given me a closer shave than the Gillette.- As said i religiously shave every 48 hours, like clock work, i have the receding hairline of an 18th Century Monk, any growth for me is a horrific experience. Post my first shave i managed to breach 72 hours before the nasty little hairs started to become a sprouting messy testament to my advancing years and i reached for the razor again. Excellent.- The Not So Good- The handle, and this is mainly my own fault, i saw six blades, i saw cost reduction, i was seduced. I didn't consider how a traditional handle would feel versus a wind tunnel tested space aged rubber covered stick. It can be slippy. It doesn't slip and fly across the bathroom, but i do have to hold it tighter. Not a massive issue and as said i didn't really consider that so its not a product design issue, there are alternates from Amazon and ill be picking one up to go with the blades.- Prolonged testing, not a mark down just an observation, i haven't tested longevity of the blades, ive only had one shave. However given i use one blade per week with my old Gillette, which at one shave every 48 hours works out a 3.5 shaves per week and i am shaving every 72 hours with this so only 2.33 times per week, the blade will naturally - hopefully - last longer.Appreciate this is a very sad and overly detailed summary to assess the cost effectiveness and longevity of blades, but i haven't got any hair to style or design each day, wash and shampoo etc, ive got time on my hands.I will update this review in a couple of months after some prolonged use and with an alternate handle but from what i have experienced so far and my projections on cost saving along with the reduction in number of times ill actually have to shave then its Five Stars.I have no idea how this would fair on someones face, but if you shave your head, and you want an alternate to the big brands, which lets be honest charge ridiculous amounts because theyve splurged on sponsoring football stars and racing cars in marketing money, then this is a top notch razor.Five Stars.

Brilliant Cost Comfortable Use
As someone who could likely grow out a fur jacket to keep me warm in winter, I have often been left needing to find reliable shaving products. As a woman, I've found that Ifeel the need to shave my arms, legs armpits- meaning that I require a razor that is long lasting and not likely to remove layers of skin. Out of all the cheap and expensive brands I have tried, I find this razor to be one of, if not the best for both value and use.Its smooth blades and adjustable head works well to glide over the contours of your body and face and the blades are robust enough to last for some while. The price is amazing and I look forward to buying new heads for the razor without the need to sell a kidney or a family member in order to afford them.I have managed to cut myself with this razor accidentally, but there is a good chance that is due to my clumsiness, not the razor itself. Overall very pleased with the product and not looking like a yeti thanks to it.

Good , but could be better
I don't normally write reviews, but felt this razor deserves one.So i purchased the "shave it" 6 blade razor with 4 blades. Price wise , it was good value for money (£7.99).I opted against the subscription option in case i wasn't satisfied. On opening, the first thing that i noticed was that the handled looked very well made. It was also very well weighted.Using the razor confirmed that it felt very balanced. I thought that the 6 blades may have been a gimmick (going one more than leading brands), but it did not retract from the fact they give a really good, close shave ( very close) , with no nicks or cuts. and minimal razor burn. All in all, very surprised yet very satisfied. The only downsides ,that if rectified, would make this razor , a cut above the rest( apologies for the pun) ...The handle could do with a rubber/silicone insert or handle. the black gloss looks good but is a tad slippery when wet. Finally, the 6 blade cartridges could be its Achilles Heel. When shaving long stubble, the blades get clogged easily. I got over this small issue by using a silicone strop. So to close, this razor and blades isn't quite as comfortable a shave as a "Gillete Proglide", but its not far off it. The cost of blades however, makes it a far more viable option.I will be ordering more blades in the future. I'm sold.

Does the job
I rarely shave, so since I bought it three years ago it is still in good working condition. My wife once ran out of her blades, and told this one was better than hers, so maybe wrongly marketed LOL

Den absolut bästa! The absolute best!
Excellent for travelling also. Perfekt för resan. Lots better than all the others I've used and tested over the years. Only problem now is the blade supply. I usually purchase at least a pack of blades a month and some of my friends and family do that too. But now can't find them. Amazon says "out of stock".

Vergleichstest "Shave It Value" mit "Shave It Grand" sowie Preisvergleich Gilette/Wilkinson
It Value, 3-Klingen-Rasierer*Shave It Pro, 5-Klingen-Rasierer*Shave It Grand, 6-Klingen-Rasierer.
