Close to the OG, a little sweeter
I'm a fan of Mojave Ghost, but not the price tag! After doing extensive research for a good dupe, I found this one on Amazon. Don't like blind-buying fragrances, but since it's a clone of the original, I went ahead and bought it. I'm glad I did!Despite not having any sapodilla notes listed, it still smells very similar to the OG. It is a little sweeter, but IMO, that makes it more wearable as a feminine-leaning perfume. It's also missing a bit of the roundness to the Mojave Ghost fragrance, but I think some of that is coming from the sapodilla itself. Which, if there's none of that in this clone, then it's to be expected. There's a decent amount of longevity out of this, too, but I'm not expecting too much. You have to keep in mind that longevity is not a strong suit of the Byredo house in general. For the price point, this is a SOLID dupe for Mojave Ghost. Would recommend.

Nice Gourmand Perfume
This Brazilian Summer Time perfume is a nice gourmand scent. It looks to be inspired by the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 scent; I have the Cheirosa 62 body mist, and I think these scents are similar, but not exactly the same. This Modern Memory perfume, to me, has stronger almond and sunscreen notes than the Cheirosa 62 fragrance. However, they are similar enough that if you like one, you will probably like the other. This perfume has a strong spray, but it dries down to be a lighter fragrance after a few minutes. I can initially smell notes of pistachio and praline, but after I wear it awhile, the main notes that I pick up on my skin are almond, vanilla, and something resembling sunscreen (I assume it is the toasted coconut note listed on the product page). It smells nice, but less complex than some of my other perfumes. My only real critique is that it only lasts a few hours on my skin, but this may vary from person to person, as perfumes smell and last differently on everyone. For a 2.5 oz eau de parfum bottle, this is a good value. I like to use it before running errands, since it is a lighter scent. I don't think it's a divisive fragrance, so it is good for daily wear. However, it is not as rich or unique of a scent as many other similar gourmands I have tried.

Perfume
Little strong when you first put it on. But nice smell when it wears off a little bit.

Sweet and clean
This scent reminds me of a 1980’s childhood summer. Very sweet and floral, but also scrubbed clean with Irish Spring soap. I love the fresh nature of it- almost cooling you down on these hot summer days. When I first applied it seemed too sweet, even though I love a sweet scent, (think freesia) but within five minutes I could understand the notes more- they almost border on honeydew melon without the tang. It’s not fruity though. For reference I’m in my mid 40’s, my favorite perfumes are white musks, and clean linens. Some of my go-tos are Juliette Has a Gun, Musc Invisible, Terra Nova, Rain, Prada, Candy… This is now going into daily use. My 18 and 16 year old daughters both love it as well!

Mojave Ghost Dupe
I was excited to see a dupe of Byredo Mojave Ghost available for such a great price. My experience with Byredo has been that they tend to have very lovely but weak scents that you only really smell in the wind or just when you sniff your wrist, so I'd prefer a cheaper alternative. The main notes listed have some commonalities but aren't the same. This one, Mojave Flower, lists white orchid (not in original), magnolia, violet petals, jasmine sambac (not in original), sandalwood, whipped amber (not in original), and musk (not in original). Meanwhile, Mojave Ghost lists sapodilla (missing in this one), amberette (missing in this one), magnolia, violet, sandalwood, ambergris (missing in this one), and cedar (missing in this one). Still, I would swear that I can smell something in it that smells like a little like cedar. The overall scent effect is like a cross between fruity bubblegum and shampoo. I think it's violet note that's turning it sweet. When I sniff my wrist up close, the violet dominates, but the overall effect that I can smell in the air around me is more like shampoo. There's something in it that reminds me a lot of Daisy by Marc Jacobs, which is a fragrance that people often compare to Mojave Ghost. I'm catching the same grapefruit note I smell in Daisy.I've come to edit this review after finally smelling Mojave Ghost. It smells somewhat similar to Mojave Ghost, but I like this one better. It smells less like hairspray (which is what I smell with Mojave Ghost) and softer. It's also far sweeter and more shampooey. Honestly, I prefer this to the original. This projects and lasts way better than anything I've smelled by Byredo. So, I think it's a good gamble if enough people end up thinking it smells similar. It's not really a fragrance I'd have picked for myself if I'd smelled it first, but there are lots of people who are going to love it. For me, it's a 4-star. For others, it's probably a 5-star. If this company made a dupe of Byredo Gypsy Water, I'd be all over it for this price. They're certainly a company to watch.
