The FMC is badass, and the MMC is everything I want in a fictional man he’s powerful, protective, patient and they honestly just fit so well together! When it comes the the MCs, I really liked them both. The FMC is smart and had some real bad@ss moments 💅🏻 The MMC Acker has a touch her and 💀attitude, is morally grey and has a fricking nose ring 🫠 And if that wasn’t enough, he falls first and is known for being ruthless af 🖤 I was talking to myself while reading the last two chapters 🫣 Like, WHAT.DO.YOU.MEAN??😭😭 Rachel Schneider is a mastermind of twists and revelations and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.

La mia mascella è a terra: mi serviranno almeno 2-3 giorni lavorativi per elaborare questa storia. Il blurb non le rende assolutamente giustizia: questa storia è molto di più. Il libro è incredibilmente veloce, quindi potrebbe non essere adatto a tutti, soprattutto perché in alcuni momenti sembra anticiparti. Per me, però, è stato esattamente ciò di cui avevo bisogno al momento giusto, e mi ha regalato tutte quelle emozioni da cinque stelle. Sono ossessionato da tutti i personaggi e dalle loro dinamiche. Il mondo e la politica mi hanno affascinato, e ho adorato ogni dettaglio legato al sistema magico. È stato così avvincente che a volte dovevo letteralmente costringermi a mettere giù il libro, perché non riuscivo a smettere di leggere. Ho trascorso gran parte della lettura in uno stato di estasi, tra calci, urla e stupore! Colpi di scena a non finire, mai un momento di noia. Il modo in cui tutto si collega alla fine è semplicemente folle. E quel finale?? Il. Finale. Lo amerai o lo odierai, ma io l’ho divorato. L’autore è un vero genio. E il romanticismo? È tornato alla grande!

🌟 4.5 Stars This book was so good — the magic system, the bond, the pacing, all of it. I was fully hooked… until that ending. The last few chapters wrecked me, and that sneak peek? Unfair. I’m mad, but in the best way possible. Highly recommend — just be ready for the emotional whiplash.
