Roll me Amadeus...
I actually ordered these thinking some visiting family members might like them more than me because I'm not usually a big fan of marzipan. Unfortunately the family members will never know because I ate them all before they arrived (I didn't say I was proud of myself). Turns out some marzipan-based sweets are really lovely. It also turns out that some marzipan is made from Pistachios instead of Almonds and these sweets feature both kinds and that's probably why I found them surprisingly yummy, they don't have that acetone-like edge some almond marzipan has. They arrive in rather overly grand packaging but, as with people, it's what's inside that really counts and the sweets inside take two kinds of marzipan, fill them with a nugget of nougat and then dip them all in white chocolate. I'm not sure what they've got to do with Mozart, maybe he wrote recipes too, but they are very rich and sweet and lovely.

As long as you enjoy marzipan, you'll enjoy these
These are pretty good! They're essentially marzipan, in a light white-chocolate coating. I was expecting them to taste more like traditional chocolate truffles, but the marzipan is by far the dominant flavour in these. As long as you enjoy that, you'll love these. They're decent-sized balls too. We found that just one ball is enough, as marzipan is a rather rich-tasting dessert, and any more felt a bit sickly. The sonata is, of course, optional.
