The Ceramics Bible: The Complete Guide to Materials and Techniques (Ceramics Book, Ceramics Tools Book, Ceramics Kit Book) Review: To read from cover to cover - It is certainly a digestible bible, those books we get inspired to read from cover to cover. In fact, since I am a beginner in the pottery world, I have just finished reading it entirely. Even though I only take one hands-on class per week, it is clear that this book was and will be a positive addition to the learning process. During these last few weeks, while reading right next to bed before sleep, this book has inspired me, brought some creative ideas, and reinforced me that I should keep in this personal pursuit. It is more than a learning companion, it can also be a nice coffee-table book. As we can see from the preview pages available on desertcart, the book is divided into clear sections. It covers everything from choosing proper raw materials and tools all the way to finishing techniques such as enamels and lusters. Some highlights and differentiators are: 1. A well-written "Resources Section" that helps in many areas such as marketing, training courses, suppliers, useful charts, and trade shows. 2. It has 12 concise but well-written "Artist Profiles" that stimulate our own journey through their stories. 3. Can't emphasize more about the enumerated step-by-step instructions with both pictures and readings to better explain each piece of information. Review: Great book! - I originally checked out this book from the local library. After looking through it, I decided I need it. I typed it in the desertcart search and sure enough it came up. I love it, I can usually find just what I am looking for on desertcart. I found a used one for a little cheaper, which is just fine with me because if it spends even one day out in my pottery studio it's used. it took a little longer to receive it. Sometimes items on desertcart ship out really fast, sometimes it's a couple of weeks. This one was approaching a couple of weeks but still not too bad. The condition it was it was surprising! Sometimes when a seller describes the book as slightly used, when you receive it, it looks like it came from a garage sale or goodwill. This time however, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. It looked almost brand new! Great book, very informative. My new favorite pottery book

Good packaging and great book.
This book is new as far as I can see. Book was in plastic…looking new. Covered by not one but three outer water proof white bubble wrap, which was great. We were gone when it was delivered and had it rained it would have been just fine. Satisfied customer here. Just added a couple pictures and realized the spine hasn’t even been broken in…, 😏🙂.

Beautiful book
This book is lovely, the best things about it are the stunning images and the little vignettes with different ceramic artists where they show you the work and tell you how they made it. It does not go 'in depth' and is more of a summary, but is great as a go to for basic ceramic technique and the images are so pretty they are inspiring. I wish it went a bit more in depth for my own curiosity, but I think that is not really the point of this book.

the title says it all
This is like a college text book of ceramics. It covers a lot of ground and is well researched and written. If you are serious about learning a lot on the subject, this is the one to buy.

Great Book for Ceramic Basics
This is a very nice read for anyone interested in learning about ceramics. It mostly covers processes on how to do things, but it also has featured artists that it also talks about. Since it mostly covers processes, it's great for beginners, or to just keep. If you already know how to use a potter's wheel, slab build, glaze, etc. it's not that essential.

Great book to have in your studio (beginner to pro!)
This book is incredible, let’s just lead with that. It covers, in detail, the techniques and fundamentals of using clay from beginner level to carving and stylistic choices. It’s great to have for reference material and has extremely useful contact information in the back.

This book is filled with basic And some advanced techniques. It is good learning material. It lacks in depth glazes formulas And chemical clay formulas, so to clear ant missunderstanding. I rate it 5 because it is what ir says a good book.

Es una lastima que sean tan poco cuidadosos con sus envíos. El libro ha llegado dañado de varias partes. Lo he devuelto.
