I bought this griddle to make grilled cheese sandwiches at night. I was concerned about the size but was able to easily fit 8 sandwiches at once. It heated evenly and quickly. I was really surprised that I could glide the sandwiches around on the ceramic coating. The control I had over cooking was spectacular. They came out to a perfect golden brown and all of the cheese was melted through. This is a vast improvement over the cast iron griddle that I have to set on 2 burners. Cleanup was just as easy after it cooled. All I had to do was wipe it down with a paper towel. I bought it on sale for $15. I see that it's up to $20 now.

A must have kitchen appliance.
I love my new griddle. I'm not used to my old one heating up so quickly so I overcooked my first batch of pancakes and eggs. It's a great size for me to whip up enough for a few days. It's a breeze to clean as I just used a wash cloth and let it air dry. It's built to last as long as you care for it properly. It works fabulous just be cautious that it heats up quickly. The value for the money is spot on. I'd highly recommend this product as a must have. You won't regret it.

Large size, very slippery, uneven heating
I got this mostly for Korean BBQ, to replace my panini press, which has teflon grill plates. I initially tested this unit with grilled cheese sandwiches, eggs and hash brown potatoes. Some of the pros can also be cons. For instance, the surface is a nice large size -- which is great if you are cooking a lot of food, but it wouldn't be efficient for just a couple of eggs or a couple of sandwiches. Also, since there is only one temperature control for the entire plate, you have to cook everything at the same temperature.Second, the surface is very slippery -- which actually makes it difficult to flip foods, and with the low rim, it is easy to slide the food over the edge. After losing some of the hash browns, I ended up using two spatulas to make a barrier to hold the foods in place to be able to flip them. Depending on what you are cooking,, if you are using tongs, this would not be an issue, and would make it easier for cleanup. Also, you have to be careful not to use a lot of butter/oil, because it will just run off into the drip tray. Good for low fat cooking, bad for items that require more fat to cook properly.Cons: It heats up quickly, but pointing with a laser thermometer, there seems to be a lot of uneven temperatures across the surface, with some as much as 75+ F degree swings in temperature.UPDATE -- I used this for a Korean BBQ, cooking several rounds of meat. The heating was VERY uneven with some pieces searing quickly, but other just sort of steaming and not browning. I will stick to a "folding" panini press that that opens flat. The cons on this one outweigh the pros.

Excellent quality
Excellent quality and performance. Be sure to buy a heat proof pad for underneath it.

Great! Watch for overheated power cords.
Excellent griddle. I like the size. This is my second of the same brand, though this is a different color. The first lasted nearly three years, used weekly. The power cord does get warm while using. The power cord for the last one would get HOT while using-somewhat concerning. (both ends: the wall outlet side & the side that connects to the griddle).I believe this overheating is what broke the old griddle; the wires/hardware keeping the griddle connection were melted & fused to the griddle so when I tried to unplug the power cord from the unit, the cord broke.

Very large cooking area.
Well, the first thing I did was to see how level this griddle is. So I first checked to see how level my countertop is. The countertop is plumb. Next I checked to see if the griddle was also level. It was not. I took half a cup of water and poured it on the griddle to see if the water would sit there or run to one side and it ran to one side. I tried the best I could to level the griddle but my final conclusion is that the frame is twisted. Even if I tried to level the legs, I could NOT level the griddle in all directions.
