Awesome bag!
I’ve been carrying this with me every day since it was delivered in December, and it’s great! Awesome depth in the side pockets that hold my emergency flashlight and Buck 119 very well. The material is sturdy, and the padding in the back and shoulder straps is excellent! You also have access to a luggage strap on the back for travel (or attaching various other items with carabiners), and this bag expands to accommodate a large amount of stuff: clothes, food, water bottles, and emergency supplies. Love the smaller front pockets for extra storage of items that are used more often. Smaller velvety-feeling pocket is great for items you don’t want scratched up or for extra charging cords :) Cool bug out bag and perfect imo for everyday carry to work or for play. Also going to use it as my gym bag. Fine quality for a good price! The blackout design is my favorite by far. Sleek & clean. Feels like it’ll last a long time. Will have to see :) If you’re in the market for a good bag that’ll fit basically all of your needs for work, travel, and play, check it out! Many thanks to the seller. ♥️ Have a lovely day/night to anyone reading.

Excellent backpack!
My husband absolutely loved this bag! I bought it for him a few years ago and he still uses it every day. There’s been no problems with the zippers or pockets; he truly uses the hell out of it so it’s a huge bonus. The straps are wide bringing a lot of comfort. There are multiple pockets with easy access. Solid value for the money!

Functional and fantastic looking backpack
I've been using this backpack for a few days now and so far I don't have any major complaints. TIme will obviously tell. I've been using shoulder bags for most of my adult life and while I do like them for meeting clients and/or an office setting, they're just not practical for travel and being out working on projects in the field. I started researching backpack, specifically roll top because I like the look and I like that they’re expandable to accommodate more gear. What I like about this backpack: 1. Modern, sleek, sustainable, and durable design. 2. Ample room for gear, clothes, and other necessities. Especially when rolled all the way up. Nice padded protective pockets for both a laptop and tablet, and slots for additional gear/tech. 3. Water resistant materials and waterproofed front pocket and back access zippers. Expandable side pockets that can easily accommodate larger water bottles. 4. Quick access back zipper for laptop/tablet pockets, luggage strap on back, and a nice key hook/strap inside front side pocket. 5. Comfortable back padding and padded shoulder straps (no sternum strap, which I don’t mind) with three carabiner loops on each side. 6. Price points that are much less than what companies like Timbuk2, Stubble&Co, and Wandrd are charging. My wishlist for Tomtoc: 1. Side mount/compression straps to secure a longer umbrella, taller water bottle/thermos, and/or tripod would be nice. The backpack does have two top loops on both sides of bag that a carabiner paracord (which I was able to do, see above photo) or something like a Think Tank Photo Disguise Strap could be attached to. 2. I would have liked the inner lining to be orange, bright yellow, or lime green for visibility when searching for things inside. 3. I would have liked the bag to be a little larger at least aesthetically. I’m taller/larger (6’ 1” over 200lbs) so when not fully rolled up it looks a little small on me. Not an issue when the backpacks fully packed and rolled up (expands from 17 to 20L) though. However, I can see the size being a benefit when traveling by plane or when getting around in a city environment. 4. Though not that big of a deal, waterproofing the top and front side zippers like the front pocket and back access ones would be a smart move going forward. 5. Along with the carabiner loops, I wouldn’t mind seeing a D ring on one of the shoulder straps in the future. But, nothing that a carabiner paracord (see above photo) wouldn’t solve. I still rate this packback high despite it lacking a few things I would have liked it to have. These things weren’t deal breakers for me as most (listed above) have work arounds. However, from what I’ve seen it actually offers a few features the more expensive Timbuk2 roll top doesn’t.

Great Minimalist Rolltop, But May Be Too Small.
TL;DR (too long; didn’t read) - This is a great minimalist rolltop backpack at a great pricepoint. If you’re a fan of the style, do yourself a favor and at least try this thing out. You won’t be disappointed. This is going to be a long review, I apologize. Context: I’ll be honest in saying that I’m one of those people that love bags and my current obsession is finding the perfect laptop/ mobile office backpack. Right now I’m am convinced, your mileage may vary, that my Thule (TCDK101) Covert DLSR Rolltop Backpack is as close to perfect as I can get. Now, it’s heavy and rather bulky but of all my backpacks and messenger bags, I always return to it. I like rolltops and because I organize by putting smallish bags into a larger bag, this rolltop in particular works well for me. I would say that, with one major caveat, it’s exactly what I have been searching for. What I like: - This is a sleek and sexy (the black is darker looking in person) rolltop that’s well made for a great price. - The main compartment is large with little in the way of organization - There are two nicely sized padded sleeves in the interior that fit my 15.6in laptop in one as well as an 11in tablet and a document holder/ portfolio in the other. A retention strap secures both sleeves with a hook-and-loop fastener. - Access to the padded sleeves and the two small pockets (open topped) across from them through the zipper located behind the shoulder harness was surprisingly good. - This backpack seems to be made to accommodate the larger of Tomtoc’s tech organizer bags (which I have… I have a problem, I know). The tech organizer fits snuggly in the bottom of the bag even when both the expandable exterior side pockets are in use. - The exterior side pockets are expandable and can fit up to a 40oz ThermoFlask water bottle, but that’s pushing it. Basically, larger items in the external pockets will take up some of the interior storage space. This is a little inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. - The two outside zippered pockets on the front are good for quick-access items that are relatively flat. The smaller of the two has a soft lining for items prone to scratches like sunglasses but I perfect for smaller items like wires earbuds, or snack bars. The other one has a large side-access zipper and serves as a dump pocket for items that may need to be easily accessed. There is also a decently long leash with a metal clip in this pocket, I think Tomtoc does a good job not making their key leashes annoyingly short or long. - The shoulder harness systems nicely padded but lacks a sternum strap. This is not a dealbreaker for me but depending on how you pack this, you may want to look into an aftermarket one. What I don’t like: - (This is me being nitpicky) The bag is too small for me but maybe not for you. I’m 5’10” on a good day, dad-bod with decently wide shoulders and this looks kind of like a backpack-purse on me. I have a longer torso and so photo #2 filled me with a little misplaced hope that a 17 liter bag would look ok on me. I’ve returned it but I would absolutely love this bag if it was a 25 (expandable to 30) liter backpack. I’d have the black and the blue one, if that was the case. Tomtoc has been killing it, in my books. I have a few of their products and this bag is the first I’ve even considered returning. Not because of any design flaws or manufacturing defects but because I’m not built to fit it. Sad times…

Brought for my wife who is a teacher and she loves it. A good size laptop compartment, has the roll top but also with the zip for quicker access. I would say this is a summer city hopper bag. Really like it, might get myself one
