Loud and tempermental, but kinda works.
I'm using this in Streacoms DB4 case which has solid aluminium sides but this drive is still VERY loud. Like you can hear this thing spin up anywhere in the house its that noisy.It takes a while for the CDs to register in the drive but the rip speed when it does is decent.This is one of the very few slot load slim blu ray drives available (despite it being discontinued), so far that it's hard to avoid. It still works and does what I need it to but it could be much better.

Just put mine in. Have not watched any full disks yet, but for the one I tried it played the introduction chapter, and existed. Never got to the actual film. Tried again, the same. Tried the same DVD on PC, and it works fine. So there must be a misaligned head in that player, as it skips the chapters straight to the end.Also the drive appears to be very noisy. I bought it for the silent HTPC (together with the case from the same company), and I regretted I bought this model from the moment I powered it on. Definitely would never buy it again.

Unreliable make od optical drive
It work a few times, I don't use CD/DVD much, but now some 2 years later it does not recognize ANY DVD or music CDs.If you want Blu-Ray - don't buy this make.
