Great Lightweight Pushchair - Ideal for Holidays
Bought this pushchair for Holiday reasons and it was completely up to the task. Its very lightweight without major compromises so often made by other manufactures. The colour is great "Carmine Rose" and the general usability is really good too. This is not a "full fat" pushchair and shouldn't be considered as. Our main pushchair is a Recaro City Life and it is far superior to this, but it's also big, bulky, heavy and more expensive. If you want a proper push chair get the Recaro City Life. The only minor issues i found with the Maclaren Mark II are as follows:If over weighted - example: infant in the chair, under basket full, backpack and shopping hanging off the handles then the rear wheels make an annoying squeaking noise. There is no reclining on this particular version which (before I bought it) made me hesitant. In real world use never felt the need for it to recline beyond its fixed position. But the option would have been nice. When collapsed the wheels sit inside the hood which leaves marks (not seen when opened as they are inside/underneath the hood)And for those minor (picky) reasons I award 4 stars.I would recommend this product to others....but shop around (i got it here for £80, I would not pay the £130-£150 that other distributors are asking).

Amazingly light weight and easy to put up and down
Amazingly light weight and easy to put up and down. It sits very low, which I am not keen on, but then we are used to a high buggy. We do miss the recline and there is no padding to the seat etc (guess to keep the weight down). It was hard to decide which thing's are most important when looking at the Maclaren's, but went on the weight decision as still happy with the Uppa baby buggy/pram system that we have. This is great for getting on trains and shopping etc. as it is very narrow as well as light weight. It takes up zero space in the boot too.Wouldn't chose to use it on long walks and the back wheels do not swivel, so I find I am dragging it sometimes!Crazy price, but overall pretty happy with it.

Excellent stroller - Simple and lightweight
Excellent stroller - Simple and lightweight. There's a rain cover included but that's about it for accessories (no seat liner) - It's easy to fit and folds up quite small. The seat is not adjustable (angle/orientation), just the straps. The front wheels can be locked in position which makes off road usage quite doable.I feel like I'm just repeating the product brochure so I'll stop now (it's all at http://www.worldofmaclaren.com/markII/)...The one "real world" negative I've noticed is that its not really usable on gravel. We have a pea-sized gravel driveway and the stroller just digs in when attempting to push. We have to carry our child out or pull the buggy backwards over the gravel (just about works this way round but there's a real feeling of dragging through sludge). This is the first stroller I've had so I don't have any comparison over our big buggy. The large fixed wheels on our buggy are fine, maybe all strollers with similar sized/styled wheels have this issue.

Great stroller, very happy with portability and good hood
It was the lightest I could find (I think it is actually the lightest available). It is quite long so is not quite a piece of cake for me to carry (I'm 5'3") but I love the fact that I can collapse it (pretty easily) and carry it on and off trains, rather than getting stranded between the closing doors. Compared to a normal heavy stroller it of course has less storage and not such good suspension, but in cases where you might want to carry it you can't beat it. Lovely big shade too, haven't seen better in one of these lightweight strollers.

It is certainly very light which was the main reason I chose it so I would choose it sgsin. Only downside is it is very narrow, my son is a big 20 months & his arms are quite squashed-in sideways when he sits in it with his coat on

Surprisingly disappointing
Well where to start I have always rated maclaren very high as I previously had the xlr and was soo impressed I decided I would buy the mark 2 yes a smaller stroller but I thought it'd be perfect for the school run, indeed I was wrong having only had it a few weeks not even using it every day as I don't use it when it rains as my little one doesn't like rain covers I use my bigger one the wheels squeak the back wheels are wobbly and with only a 12 month old in it Mt child is well under the weight limit and the school walk Is only a 5 min walk, I do however like the suspension but the handles are a little strange I must admit having used it for only two months I feel I have wasted my money and should have bought something else

Great buggy
Awesome buggy. Super light. Great value. Easy to fold up and down. Wheels have lasted well. Perfect for what it is. Only slight complaint is that the wheels are so small it can be hard to get up curbs. Not a problem if you remember. But i have almost dumped my child out onto the pavement on more than one occasion. Still worth 5 stars

Perfect lightweight buggy
Perfect lightweight buggy. The difference between it and other "lightweight" buggies that weigh 5 or 6kg is really surprisingly noticeable. The big hood is great. Rain cover works very well. My 17mth has fallen asleep in it several times, despite the fact that the seat doesn't recline, and looks perfectly comfortable. My only complaint about it is the harness, which can be tricky if your toddler is protesting about being put in the buggy.
