I tried this out on several of my computers and sent the signal to my TV in my kitchen and a TV in my second bedroom neither of which I have cable boxes for. It works fine but you may have some changes to make to your settings to get it to work like it should though not a big problem it may take a little bit to get it going flawlessly.

Works great! Set-up was easy, just: 1) connect the receiver to TV’s HDMI port and the power to the TV’s USB port, then 2) connect the HDMI transmitter to your device (laptop, tablet, phone, etc.), and USB to power. None of my devices have a HDMI port, but a HDMI to USB-C adapter is included, which is what I used. For power, my laptop has a USB-C second port, so I used a USB-C to USB-C cable that I already had to connect to that (the kit only comes with USB to USC-C cables). Otherwise, the kit comes with several cables/adapters which should cover most needs. My tablet and phone don't have a second port that can be used for charging, so it's necessary to plug in to an external power supply like a charging block or power bank. Once hooked-up, I changed the TV HDMI on-screen input to the HDMI port the receiver was plugged in to and presto, there's my screen on my TV. This worked with my Dell Laptop, Samsung Tablet Tab 10+ and Samsung S24+ phone. The image looked great and tracked almost spontaneously with changes on my device. The video was smooth and seamless, the audio sounded good too. Everything worked as advertised! This is a very handy device to mirror your screen on a TV, much easier than trying to stream directly. I'm very happy with this device and it has my recommendation.
