These feel real. High quality product that I can use to get used to loading and shooting my shot gun. It's perfect for "getting to know" your gun, the feel, the weight, the loading, re-loading, and practicing to shoot your real gun. A must for gun safety and learning to handle your shot gun.

Work very well. The orange butts get chewed up after a while but it comes with spares. Great for practice and dry firing for those that can’t get to the range to practice definitely recommend

These are actually really nice! They're a perfect match for 2 3/4" shell and the weight and weight distribution is perfect for your average 00 buck shell. The brass rims are durable and don't ding and cause jams like most inexpensive snap caps. I've not had any issues with them feeding or ejecting. You can get better snap caps for a lot more money but there's not really any need for it. Oh, a good indicator of the maker's faith in their product: they include a bunch of replacement rubber "primers" because they expect these things to last long enough for the firing pin to wear out the rubber. It's a nice touch and conveys confidence in their product.

Works as described, nice weight and the color stands out very well. Would definitely purchase again!

Fantastic for practicing safely. I use these in my bed and on my couch. I can finally teach my wife and daughters to put the magazine in, rack the slide, and fire away. The first time I handed my wife and youngest daughter a gun, they both put their index finger on the trigger and pointed at me. That’s why you need snap caps. These have a solid weight to them. I love that I can dry fire and practice clearing jams and honing my skills that don’t have to be practiced on a range or with live rounds. The only problem I have is occasional jamming. I think they sit forward in the magazine if I don’t push them back. I also notice the orange piece unscrewing from the case. The silver lining here is that I get to practice solving these real problems from the comfort of my house. I’m preparing for, and teaching my family how to overcome those problems while in a chaotic situation. I have not had to replace any firing pin cushions yet but I’m grateful to have a full set of replacements and a tool to remove them. The only thing that bugs me is the orange piece unscrewing from the casing. I don’t know why you would want to take that off. There could be a really obvious reason that I’m not seeing, but I’ll be using a tiny bit of glue I will be getting more of these because the value for money is fantastic, the quality is superb and the ability to safely learn these techniques in the comfort of your home, is priceless.

These snap caps are Good! I have bought snap caps from different name brand companies in the past. It is a snap cap, it definitely does what it is supposed to. Loads well in revolver. No issue in unload dump of cylinder. But what got me is the packaging and attention to customer details. Other snap caps I have purchased came in a plastic bag or hard clear plastic sales package. I then would have to find a way to store caps for training. These come in their own case. Nothing big perfect size. They also send rubber replacements for primer holes, With Instructions and tool! Wish I would have bought from this Company sooner!

These are pretty much perfect. Work well for practice and maintenance. No cycling issues at all

EDIT 2025/08/05: After seeing my review, the seller Gordon reached out to me to see if I would test a new TPU material they're using on the base of their 22LR snap caps to see if it would resolve the problems. He sent me replacement bases free of charge. I tested the new snap cap bases, and I'm happy to report that they work GREAT! I tested the snap caps in the same 22LR RIA Feather rifle, and all 5 magazines manually fed and ejected the dummy rounds without issue! And none of the magazine followers got stuck like they did with the old gummy rubber either - everything was very smooth! I give 5 STARS for the current version of this product, and 5 STARS for the amazing service and customer care by GORTAR. Thanks, Gordon! ***************** I have the .223 and 12 gauge versions of these snap caps, and those are great. BUT these .22LR ones are really not that great. The problem is that the orange rubber cover on the base thickens the base just enough to cause ejection problems. The orange rubber cover also extends very slightly over the edge of the round's base, causing these rounds to stick in magazines and fail to feed. For these reasons they're useless for dry fire practice or running drills. They're ideal for practicing to clear jams though! For the record, these experiences were on A RIA TM-22 Feather rifle. All 5 mags and the firearm itself feed and cycle live Federal ammo, so it's the snap caps causing the problems.

I purchased these for cycling through a firearm which is notorious for rejecting short brass shells. However I spent a solid 10 minutes intentionally trying to induce a malfunction and it just didn't happen. These cycle cleanly and do exactly what you need them to do. If your shottie tends to reject low brass you may be as surprised as I was. Good stuff.

Full weight 2-3/4" dummy shells. Works great, pretty good for the money. Might have to tighten a small screw that holds the base to the body... but only experienced that a couple of time doing cowboy action shotgun shooting/loading drills, With a 97 Main body is nylon or similar plastic... Base is low wall steel type, pretty solid machined, with a urethane primer pocket. Feeds flawlessly..
