The Ultimate Player's Guide to Minecraft, 2nd edition

Pretty much what I was hoping for. Having played minecraft (on & off) since 2005, this book brought me up to speed on the features that I hadn't known existed or had been added over the years. Chapters are well organized with a lot of information. While the pictures are not step by step, they are clear and coupled with the text you can figure out what to do on the ones you can't quite figure out what goes where.

This book manages to be comprehensive without overwhelming the reader. The illustrations throughout are both useful & visually appealing. Though I bought it for my little sister, I will probably be getting more use out of it, as books are apparently obsolete when she can easily look up tips & walkthroughs on Youtube. :-/

Every possible aspect of game play is covered. This is the latest edition which is totally up to date with the latest version of Minecraft. The game is a lot more fun thanks to this book! So much time was saved.

I really don't know much about Minecraft, but this book was a HUGE hit. My daughter and nephew both play constantly and both have this book and swear it is the bible of Minecraft.

This covers all the basics and moves onto the more advanced aspects of the game - my children (6 and 9) love it.

Would really like it if there were a section specifically for the Pocket Edition, which is very limited but runs on portable tablets. There are wonderful ideas in here to spark the imagination.
