Great replacement,easy to set up even for an old guy.

I purchased this because we only had one remote control with our fan in our bedroom. Having a second remote allows both my wife and I to control the fan without having to climb across our California King bed. So glad I made this purchase because life is so much easier when you wake up and you want to turn the fan off instead of having to jump out in the cold air. The buttons are a little strange but are intuitive enough to get used to. The fan button itself will turn the fan off and the up arrow will put the fan on high with the down arrow putting it on low, no matter what the current speed is. Our fan allowed for multiple remote controls so this was the perfect addition!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Its so confusing for my fan. When i press the fan switch , my light turns on. Very annoying. And when get the fan turn on, it doesn't speed up Or low, it stays in one speed. The light doesnt turn on when i press the light switch but it turns on with the fan switch. Soo weird and annoying

When the original remote broke, I needed a replacement. This worked well and was easy to program. My only wish is that it was available in black.

I don't know why, but the light turns on and off but the fan itself wont turn on with the remote now.

Such a lifesaver!! I lost the original one yesterday looked up an a replacement here on Amazon. The quality is great. I love that. I got to pick a different color from my original one, the speed functions. The brightness function overall quality was great. Everything functions great.It was very easy. Got here this morning. Took me about two minutes to get everything connected and working. Instructions are perfect literally step-by-step. If I lose this one, I'll be re-buying this again...😂

This remote was a speculative purchase that I hoped would work out with my fan. Read review for happy ending. My actual Hunter fan model (K5579-02) was not listed in the ad for this replacement remote although I read somewhere online my fan model was listed on an "identical looking" after market remote that was at a much higher price point. I risked the purchase and was excited to see how closely it resembled my original product remote. However after many attempts at paring this replacement remote with the fan following the simple instructions it would not pair or work. Several days passed and a more online research and I found a review from someone who had problems pairing the remote like me but found a solution to make it work. To pair instructions say turn power to fan on and within one minute press the remote pairing button, simple right? But it never worked. The solution provided by this other reviewer was how long to hold the pairing button. It has to be a very fast press and release, less than one second. I had been pressing and holding various amounts of time but never a fast press and release. I did try the fast press and release method and the remote paired instantly, fan gave a confirming beep and all remote functions have been working perfectly every scene. I'm very pleased!
