An Ending for This Saga.
The final volume of Blood Blockade Battlefront is the only one to focus on a single storyline. As Leo's sister comes to town with surprising news, Leo is forced to confront his own self doubt and an invisible creature only he can detect. What follows is a thriller that shows Nightow's imagination in smaller doses that are no less powerful than past adventures. With Leo standing alone on the edge of death with his sister's life in danger and his allies unable to help him. What's more, it proves to be a lovely ending for Leonard Watch's story. At least for now.The biggest weakness of the volume is that it is not a definitive ending for either the character or the series, as it continues under a different title in Japan (Blood Blockade Battlefront Back 2 Back) and that has yet to be released in English. Still, it's a good story and provides at least some closure.If you've been reading the series to this point, you'll have to buy this. If you haven't read anything in this series before, you might be able to enjoy Volume 10 as its own stand alone story.
