Love it!
No subscription required and brings the TV to new life! Quality video & audio and fast boot up after being powered. The only downside is it requires another socket instead of being powered from USB of the TV but I have seen products on Amazon that convert the power to be sufficient from TV USB too so might give them a try later.

Good 4k streamer without breaking the bank
I recently upgraded to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max from an older model, and after using it for a few weeks, here's my take on it.**Setup & Performance:**Setting up the Fire TV Stick 4K Max was super easy. It comes with a simple plug-and-play process: just plug it into the HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi, and log into your Amazon account. The interface is quick and responsive right off the bat. Compared to my previous device, this one has noticeably faster load times for apps, and navigating through menus feels much smoother.**Picture and Sound Quality:**The 4K streaming looks great. I don’t have the most high-end TV, but the picture quality is crisp and its a waste to have a 4k TV but only a 1080p streaming device plugged into it and the difference between this and the HD firestick is very noticeable.**Streaming Performance:**I stream everything from Netflix to Prime Video, Disney+, and even YouTube. The 4K Max handles all of it without stuttering or buffering. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, even for non-tech-savvy users in my household.**Alexa Voice Remote:**The Alexa remote is a game-changer. It's simple to use, and I find myself using voice commands more often than I expected. It’s perfect for searching for content, pausing playback, and even controlling the TV volume. The voice recognition works well, and I didn’t have to spend any time configuring it. It’s a small feature, but it makes the experience much more seamless.**Connectivity:**I have the Fire Stick connected to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network, and I’ve never had issues with connectivity. Streaming 4K content works flawlessly, without any interruptions.**App Selection & Features:**As you'd expect, it supports pretty much every major streaming app, including Amazon's own offerings. What I appreciate is the user profile feature for different family members, so everyone can have their own recommendations without interfering with each other’s watch history.**Drawbacks:**While I don’t have many complaints, the biggest downside I’ve noticed is the lack of a built-in Ethernet port (which is only available with the Fire TV Cube). For people who want wired internet for faster speeds, you’d need to buy an additional adapter. Another small thing is the interface, which occasionally feels a bit cluttered with ads promoting various Prime Video content, but it’s not intrusive enough to be a deal-breaker.**Final Verdict:**If you're looking for a reliable, fast streaming device with solid picture quality, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is a no-brainer. The performance, ease of use, and voice control are huge upgrades from the previous and less powerful models. For anyone who wants 4K and a smooth streaming experience without breaking the bank, this is a great pick.

Great product, real value for money
I found the **Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen, 2023)** to be fast, responsive, and packed with features. Wi-Fi 6E support gives super smooth streaming with no buffering, even on busy networks. The upgraded processor makes navigating apps seamless, and 16GB of storage means plenty of space for everything. Love the Ambient Experience—it turns my TV into a smart display. A fantastic upgrade for any streaming setup!

Great upgrade over the 4k Firestick
We have been using Firestick type devices since their release and this latest "Max" version is certainly an improvement for us over that of the previous 4k model. The responsiveness withing the menus, even when using the iPlayer for BBC, is so very apparent. Linking it for voice control with our Alexa's is a bonus and great to use to search for films or shows. They seem to have made the setup much easier to navigate also, that has to be good. The only slight negative is the ability to stream some very high bitrate content at 4k, this is over the LAN and absolutely NOT the same as streaming 4k over streaming networks online that the stick supports.Even tho we have Wi-Fi 6, 100% signal quality and very little used for any other connection, the fire stick being in the same room, there can be stutters and pauses noted when streaming the noted content over the LAN. That has totally disappeared when adding an Amazon LAN adaptor to this MAX stick. So, apart from the noted high bitrate 4k content over LAN, this upgraded MAX stick is wonderful. The extra functions on the remote are useful. One star only dropped due to the noted issues that were eliminated with the LAN adaptor for ethernet rather than WiFi.Very please and very much recommended.I hope this has helped you. Happy shopping and watching.

Fire stick 4K Max delight.
After resetting our 3 year old Fire Stick 1st gen, we set the 2nd gen Fire Stick to use. It's best to sync your content to our Amazon account & on setting it up. It's straight forward to use, the option of QR codes makes the apps easier to set up & use these as much as you can.WiFi was via password but once up & running, it took around 30 mm minutes to update, install to log in & use the stick... As an upgrade trafe-in, it's good value with offers going about. As we've been using on since 2019, it's been a reliable streaming source & film format since with no issues to quibble about. The picture quality is very good too.
