Perfect replacement uv bulbs
Got these to replace one on my fly zapper light unit, and replaced both as this is recommended in the instructions. These bulbs were exact replacement for my unit, so well happy.

fraxinus Bug Zapper Electric Indoor Insect KillerWe live in a house that seems to have been chosen by a swarm of cluster flies to hibernate in throughout the winter months. If you've ever had to deal with cluster flies then you will know how much of a pest they can be. I have found this type of Insect killer is an ideal way to keep them in check. Cluster flies head for the light, so with this switched on every cluster fly is lured by the blue light into the electrified grill. This is designed for indoor use only, but it will also work well in an outbuilding provided it is kept dry.The build quality of this is good, it's made from tough metal and plastic, it feels very sturdy indeed. This is slightly smaller than our previous Electric Insect Killer, but we did feel that one was a little too large. This fraxinus Bug Zapper is still quite large but is not so large that it's in the way. This will happily sit on a shelf, fire grate, window sill or it can even be hung from the 2 chains that are provided in the box.The idea behind this is that the 2 lamps give off a glowing blue light which most flies and insects are lured towards. To reach the light they have to go through the electrified grill, this grill carries 2800V current. I suspect a fly hitting that is going to suffer some damage. We are in the midst of summer so all our cluster flies have now left the building, but we do still have one or two houseflies that were good enough to test this out for us. The lamps on this are quite bright, maybe a little too bright to keep on in a lounge or bedroom. We tend to switch this on when flies are around, once they are dealt with we switch it off again. This quickly dealt with the large butcher fly that came through our front door and gleefully buzzed up and down our house. He took a fancy to this Bug Zapper and was instantly crucified with a flash and puff of smoke. The dead flies should in theory drop down into a removable tray, but sometimes they will bounce off the zapper and land on the ground. Some larger flies can stick to the electrified grill where they will flash and smoke until they drop away. Most are dealt with quickly though, just a crack and flash, then they drop into the tray. This does sound rather brutal, but it is instant. If you have insect problems then I thoroughly recommended this!CONTENTS:1 x Electric Indoor Insect Killer2 x Hanging Chains1 x User GuideThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

Standard design
I remember these from childhood, 50 years ago (wouldn't be the same brand, of course), and they don't seem to have changed the design much - perhaps a little slimmer, but that's all.The two UV tubes are very bright - they light up a room. It's really intended for competing against commercial fluorescent lighting, in fresh food shops (particularly butchers, fishmongers, bread and cake shops etc) - which is where I remember them from. They are normally placed high on a wall and away from food itself - so any killed flies that miss the tray don't end up on food.Well, it certainly works. In my summerhouse, there is a frequent crack as a mosquito or fruit fly is extinguished. Bluebottles though have an even more violent end - they tend to get stuck, and crackle, turning orange as dying embers, emitting a stench. Fortunately it clears after a while - and if there's no ready supply of further bugs, you're not disturbed further. The 20W rating is taken from the use of two 10W tubes. However, that's just to attract the bugs. The 2800V generator seems to be inefficient - the top of the device gets pretty warm after a while.Larger bugs get stuck across the grills and even on the tubes themselves, so should be cleaned from time to time. Construction is fine, but there's threads of a waxy glue around the tube showing they were put together pretty quickly. It's only noticeable on close inspection, so not a problem.Best of all, we use it in bedrooms, spending a few hours in each room. It attracts clothes moths and so saves on moth traps etc, which we've been spending a small fortune on. We don't leave it on at night - it's far too bright for that, but OK for the twilight hours when watching TV in another room. It's reasonably portable, so we move it from room to room to attract the moths out of hiding. The only niggle I have is that the tray is rather fiddly. Other than that, it's perfect for the job.
