48780 80' Flagline Rope White Color

We replaced the flags at our son's ball field this week, and discovered that one of the poles didn't have the rope or clips anymore. I looked at Walmart and Lowe's and couldn't find anything that looked suitable - most of them looked very cheap or tangle-y. Happily, I found this rope on Amazon.This rope is the perfect diameter for most flagpoles, and fits through the pulley at the top. It's 80 feet long, which gives enough rope for up to a 35' pole (leaving a few extra feet for a "tail" to tie to the pole). It's heavy duty polypropylene for years of use, and a nice clean white color to complement your flag. It knotted well where I added in clips, and I'm happy to recommend this rope.As a side note, I bought these swivel eye snap hooks to secure the flag to the rope. All I needed was the rope. Hardware on flagpole was reusable. But you need REAL and DURABLE flag pole rope. This is it. Takes the wind. Doesn’t fray. Lasts longer.

There was plenty of rope for the flagpole. The quality was better than expected

Compared to the rope supplied with the pole when I purchased it 10 years ago; this rope is about 1/2 the diameter. Only time can tell if it holds up to the weathering effects. If in 10 years from now it is still in one piece and supporting my flag then I can say it was as good as the original. BTW I am only changing the original rope because time has dirtied it's appearance.

Other cords we’ve purchased in the past barely lasted a year what with extreme weather conditions, leaving our flag on the ground. This cord is official flagpole cord and even though it’s just been up less than a week, we expect excellent results. If this cord also breaks down, I’ll come back to this site and let you know!

Yup, its rope. We have it on a 30 foot steel flagpole and it is great for a single flag, when I decided to add a second flag I found that is was about a foot shorter than what I really needed for a 30 foot pole but I still managed to get it to work.
