TL:DR - for the generally careful, mindful user of tech, this may be the minimalist protection you've longed for. If you're not, these aren't the droids you're looking for. Longer: So I've been rocking an 8 Plus for several years, replaced the battery, etc. Finally time for an upgrade to the 16 pro. And over the years I've gotten to know myself. As a phone user, I'm pretty careful. As a past Dir. of Technology, I tend to be gentle on my tech and conscientious about daily care to prolong the lifespan. So putting the requisite screen protector and camera lens protectors on the new phone, I went to a leather case similar to what I've been rocking for about a decade. Hated the bulk. Went to a clear thin case. Hated the bulk. With Applecare+, decided to try this "terminator-style bumper" option. Pros: very minimalist. get to enjoy the titanium of the iPhone. Buttons have nothing between me and the metal. Both the rear and the front screen are protected from tabletops by raised lip. Width in the hand is simply the width of the phone...nothing more. It feels great in the hand - the way God and Tim Cook intended. The fit is VERY snug, and I have no fears of it slipping off. The bumpers provide just enough tactile surface that my fingers feel "something to grab" if that makes sense. Cons: I've not dropped it yet (I seldom do), but I figure I've got Applecare+ if there's a serious mishap. And a screen protector. And camera lens protectors. The bumpers cover the four corners...not the top, bottom, or side edges. I'm skeptical of the protection provided in a major oops. Only time will tell on that. So for me, I wanted a VERY minimalist / bare titanium experience. This option provides it, and it looks nice to boot. We'll see how I feel about it after the first inevitable slip up.

I’m very clumsy and this system has saved my phone over and over. I’m constantly amazed how well this beautiful minimalist product can deliver such comprehensive protection. Six Stars!

Fits nice and snug. Lighter material than I expected but does the job well. Fingerprints are easier to see due to the silver. Definitely should cost less.

Something this seem that provides protection for phone seems too good to be true, and turns out it is! Cracked screen on drop after less than a week of use - recommend against buying this product if you want to keep your phone protected.

A year old and still going strong. I've dropped my phone quite a few times and this absorbs the hit every time. It doesn't look like it would, but it does. Great case for people who don't like cases.

It looks great and I liked the feel of it. I also loved that it showed off the phone itself rather than in a case. However, the case gets in the way of MagSafe products like the Apple Wallet and power packs. If you use MagSafe attachments other than for charging, I can't recommend this. I had to return it because my other stuff no longer fit.

Mixed feelings. Visually, it looks really nice! Feels like I’m handling the phone without anything on it, but with the peace of mind that the corners and camera bump are protected when I put it down anywhere. The rubber interior makes a nice grip onto the phone and it feels really secure. It smudges very easily. I’m constantly wiping it down. It scratched up within 24 hrs (or it arrived like that, I’m not sure) and I’m one to handle my phone very carefully, so that kinda sucks. I’m not sure if the price is justified for what it is, but fun “case” regardless. Ofc, don’t buy it for protection, buy it for the visual appeal and you’ll be happy with it.
