The attractants arrive as a box of individually packaged bags each sealed in mylar. They are simple to use just place in the catch tray and the trap is baited. They smell almost pleasant like a tea, not very overwhelming but noticeable in the room, and I did not notice any harsh chemical aromas. I think insects would be attracted to this as it's very sweet smelling, I am not sure what it resembles but is easy to get used to. The contents resembles some kind of oily substance sort of like a mud, so it and doesn't evaporate very quickly and the scent seems to last for a few days. I have started adding these to my mosquito trap, the catch rates go up and down depending on the weather but I do notice occasional mosquitoes, where without an attractant I doubt they'd be interested. So these appear to work but I live in eastern US and not all mosquitoes are equal, this attractant appears to work for some of the species here but may be different in other parts of the world. These emit a strong scent and would probably attract many flying insects especially in a house. Where the value compared to other attractants is good and don't cost a lot, a 30 pack goes a long way , but from what I can tell they work for only about a week before needing to replace. I was happy with them and will keep using them, they are not a perfect solution but they do make the traps more interesting to insects.

Item doesn’t work and small pouches are not sealed waist of money

Bought this for mosquitos and flies , didn't do anything to attract flies or others, keep one inside the house for some flies and one outside house neither work. see numerous flies by and mosquitos all over the patio and they didn't even care or were attracted by.

Absolute horrible product we have hundreds of mosquitoes in a building and these do not attract them anywhere near the sticky traps.

These don't seem to last as long as the manufacturer-supplied original, but at the price, still a good deal.
