Norvell Premium Spray Tan Solution Competition Tan 34 Oz – Professional Sunless Tanning Formula for Deep Dark Stage Color, Streak Free, Fast Drying, Long Lasting Color

I've used this a few ways. First by applying directly to a mitt (it's liquid so make sure you cover the top of the bottle with the mitt completely) and then by mixing it with a thick, fragrance free lotion. I found a video online of someone else who mixes hers with lotion and it's working well for me too. I'm quite pale,some might say translucent, & I like that it's a bronze color when applying so I can make sure I don't miss any spots. The first time mixing it with lotion I was a little apprehensive & erred on the side of not adding too much solution to the lotion. It was a light, butterscotch color. You couldn't really tell I had applied any. Maybe it would have worked like a gradual tanner but I didn't want to wait a week to see results. The next time I used more solution and I like it much more! I just use a throw-away/leftover type plastic container with a lid, dump in the fragrance free lotion, add the Norvell solution & mix with a spoon until I get a color I like. This method works great for me & extends the bottle so I don't think I'll need to get another one for quite awhile. One thing to mention....When I applied it the first way, directly to a mitt, I had plastic gloves on, thankfully I had them on, because it did seep through the mitt on to my plastic gloves. Since it was my first attempt, I only did my legs. I figured if it was a disaster I could wear pants until it faded. It lasted about a week & I shower & bathe regularly (if you read the manufacturer's site it gives specific washing/rinsing instructions for people who compete [no worries there for me]). If you do use with the mitt, I would apply lotion/barrier cream to the usual places: elbows, knees, feet, ankles, etc. as it is very dark & my toes looked way too dark. I still wear gloves & use the mitt with the lotion mixture, just in case it's too dark but in the video I watched she said she doesn't have any issues just applying it with her bare hands. A really great product for someone who is already naturally a little tan and just wants that sun kissed look. BLACK OUT, don't let the name scare you. I think it makes a very natural, deep brown look. As if I just got home from vacation. I'm not a competition/weight lifter, but I am a person with a natural olive completion (brunette Italian-American). If you're like me, normal spray tans always somehow look a little artificial. The standard golden look works for fair skin types/blondes, but on me doesn't make enough of a difference to notice and looks fake when it does. I'm not out to be a snookie look a like by any means, don't get me wrong, but nothing was getting me dark enough. I found this and thought I would take a chance, let me tell you so happy I did! A little goes a long way with this stuff, another perk, since it is darker I needed less off it. Most times I would have to spray more than once a week to keep up the tan have it make a noticeable difference. Layering up on the spray, which honestly never looks good, you look freckly and blotchy. Black Out is so good for my completion, I can spray once a week and its only a quick zip here and there and I'm done. I suggest getting/giving yourself a spray before bed and then heading off to sleep. Wake up shower and it off (no soap just warm water, and don't shave at this time either) and boom, you're good to go. It lasts nice and long, use lotion daily to keep it nice and even.

I absolutely love this color. Mind you, I am Irish pale as it gets (ghostly looking) and this still looks great on me. I usually use Venetian plus, but wanted to go a bit darker for the gym (I lift weights and want to see muscle definition). The Venetian plus is almost as dark but has an olive undertone which I like. But this one just gets really dark which I love. I also use the Norvell pH balancing spray prior to spraying FYI. The best thing I can say to achieve best color is you have two options: option 1) spray two coats black out solution first day. Wait 24 hours and QUICK wash off water ONLY no soaps. Then spray ONE more coat. Next day wash off and you'll be fine. This will get you very dark. NOTE: I personally like the box better than the bottle. It's easier to turn the nozzle on and off to dispense into sprayer. Just remember to dab the nozzle with a tissue after you turn off as it will drip. But after one dab it'll be fine! :) can be stored on a shelf or under cabinet in bathroom as I store it. I've attached some pics of the coloring of using this solution. I used a before pic too so you see how ghostly I am and that it still works wonders!!!!

Very potent and liquidy- unforgiving to clothing or carpet spills! also will leave streaks where it drips so mix well, use gloves. I find this product is not as sticky as others when it is dry! And I have tried ALL self-tanners. As someone who uses tanning on a professional stage, I would definitely recommend it. It doesnt give immediate stage tan, but a noticeably darker shade. People in the professional sphere would point out that I looked more tan during practice and rehearsal in prepping for performances. I personally mix it with a mousse and sleep in it over night; when used with jergens foam; the tan is natural enough to wear around for the day prior to showering. I will be sticking with some mix of this formula added with others, which is a huge compliment

Green base instead of orange makes a difference! Perfect color, however, product did not come in a 33.8oz boxed container as shown. It came in a fairly small bottle 8oz which was surprising considering the price $80! I will be trying to find a better supplier as I need alot of it. The photos are definitely false advertising, nonetheless, the expiry date is 2018. Though they offered to give me a full refund, I question the integrity of their quality control. It's really quite something...
